Thanks, everything works exactly the same... no issues mechanically. The boot is longer so you will have to mod it to have it fit properly. No biggie. Took me about 30-45mins to do it all.

Thanks man, I got mine off ebay for $178. Boot and shift **** are sold together. New OEM '14-'17 Q50, '17 Q60 Shift ****, 34910-9NF0A, & Shift Boot, 96936-5CB0A | eBay

The shift **** is reasonably priced, no question. You see and feel it every time you sit in your car. Our oem shift boots are horrendous. I recommend for the people who haven't swapped it out yet to at least buy the boot alone or something more premium. I looked at the oem boot once I took it off and shook my head wondering why I didn't replace this sooner lol.

Hardwired my V1 with an invisicord and a blendmount I scored in the classifieds.

Looking at this, I need to go clean my rear view mirror

Oh man, love the shift ****. I've been hating mine since day one, but didn't really want an aftermarket look. This is going on the to do list for sure.

Have the V1's changed much in the past 5+ years? I have an old one laying around that I haven't used in a while. Buying a G37 this week and thinking of hooking it back up.

I have my vinyl laid to flatten so I can black out my window trim. Anyone who has already done it have any pointers/tips/etc for someone who has never applied vinyl (other than read Brad's thread)?

Looks really nice, SheLLz. I would definitely jump on this mod if I didn't already switch to a GTR ****. It's a bit more costly than an M45 ****, but has a more updated look... and if you were to have the plastic piece on top done in Carbon Fiber it would really look proper!

I've had it for over a decade and it's saved me from countless tickets. You have to kind of pay attention to the directional arrows and counter, especially in the city on routes you frequently drive, but I otherwise have no complaints. On the interstate, it's an absolute bloodhound, sniffing out radar sometimes a mile out.

Body no, guts and technology, yes. You can always send it back in for a software update, which is something I need to do some day.

Wish radar detectors were legal here.

They aren't legal in all states here either, Andy. I used to have a V1 when I lived in Cincinnati and loved it. The house I grew up in there was actually just a few miles from their headquarters and my Dad was even friends with Mike Valentine when he left Escort to start Valentine One. Here in SoCal radar detectors are basically useless so I got rid of it long ago. But for anyone living in less populated areas I would definitely recommend the V1.

Installed the Turn as Tail module, cleaned the engine, detailed the exterior and polished my headlights. I'm fricken beat up. Spent about 2 hours on the headlights. Good news is they look new.

Looking good Bota36, I plan on hitting my headlights/foglights soon using some sandpaper and clearcoat.
