Plot twist - I wired in my accellerometer disconnect, but haven't fitted the switch yet (so no stability control at all) - and the car drives much more settled. I need to find the damn switch to find out if that's coincidence or causation.

I'm thinking the former, and maybe they dialed a little more toe-in on the rear and didn't tell me.

Meet Dipper. Dipper became my test motor for my wiring kits.
Dipper took a dive in transport hence the name and because of this it was a rescue.
Since, it has seen a better life . It's running a 10ft straight pipe to a Two Brothers exhaust (better sound than a muffler delete.)

Plot twist parte deux -
Switch is in. Car is noticeably twitchier and down on power with DTC on. Brainstorming with my racing buddy, the best we could come up with is the accellerometer is either bad or too sensitive - the larger-than-18s make the ride too stiff and the car jounces/vibrates too much. When I get back from Z Nationals I'll try to see if I can insulate it from the chassis some. Also try to get dyno pull with and without DTC to corroborate the difference.

Car is coming together. Interior is in except for the passenger seat - finishing up the new leather. Some other stuff to do Friday before I drive down.

You've been talking up whit Z Nationals event for quite some time. I hope you enjoy it. Take tons of photos, start a thread about it somewhere.

I figured I'd post about it in the original notification thread in the events sub.

Actually cleaning off my phone memory to have enough space for pics. Hope we don't get rained out (as I write this, it's raining hard enough in coastal SC we're having flooding... again).

Despite having to make some time-based compromises on getting the car ready, and focusing on having it ready for the tuning on 10/11, I'm pretty stoked.

Busy weekend with stuff going wrong as always... Was planning on replacing the power steering pump, found a blown up cv boot on the passenger front and my oil pressure switch is leaking, sigh. Had to order some unexpected parts.
Replaced my power steering pump though. What a PITA of a job to remove 2 bolts. Have to unhook the radiator fan assembly to make room for one bolt and it has a bunch of wires clipped into it that require undoing even more stuff for access to unclip. Also changed my DRL LED lights again to something a bit nicer and finally added mesh to the bezels. Here's a work in progress photo.

Made a great choice. Put down 600+whp and, especially if you have E85 (700+whp?) available, do it reliably.

Looks like your intro in the newbie forum could be that. Want it moved and renamed? If so, what title?
