I think I put it on in 2017? It wasn't like that only a few months ago, I know that for sure since I had taken it off to remount it (one side had started to lift).
So not really sure what happened. It does see a lot of sun now, my current work parking lot has no garage and barely any shade.

 

Did you have someone apply a quality clear coat on this before installing it? With most carbon fiber parts, the manufacturer supplies the parts with just the resin finish coat and not a UV resistant final clear coat. Since you are going for that bare carbon fiber look and aren't painting these parts, it is very important to have the parts clear coated with quality UV resistant clear coat. I have Carbon Fiber parts from several different manufacturer's on my car and I asked all of them when I purchased the parts if they were clear coated and the only one that had a final clear coat finish from the factory was my AutoKitsX rear diffuser. So I had my paint guy clear coat all of my carbon fiber parts before I installed them.

It doesn't look like the part in your photo is delaminating yet, so I would think that it could be cleaned up (wet sanded & buffed out) and then clear coated and it should look as good as new.

 

No, i just installed it as is. I'm going to pull it off and sand it down an clear it, i still have some automotive clear left from when I did my bumper

 

Just be very careful not to sand all the way through the resin and into the carbon fiber weave. If you hit the carbon fiber when sanding then it will be very noticeable even after you clear coat it.

What are your options with the 35 little wheel bolts? Is that even a thing? I think it would have to be. You know... style, finish, weight, compound... stuff like that.

 

Yeah there are quite a few finishes for the bolts like polished and gold but I'll probably keep them black for cost purposes.

I installed everything they provided me. The lower bolt went on just fine. The second bolt above it went in and came to a stop about 1/8" from being snug. Backed it out and the end was rounded off from hitting the backside stop of the diff. Nothing against Bell, I just ended up using the stock bolts just fine and discarding the long ones they provided me.

I replaced my clock with a junkyard clock, and now it illuminates again.

 

Its been one of the better purchases for the cars for my house. Sure, people may complain that it is a little slower which is true. I take that time to check tire pressures, clean up the inside, grab a cold drink, etc.
