I have a 9 litre evacuator pump. Ordered the drain with a hose nipple. Should be able to just suck it out quickly if I need to speed things up. Bought it when I needed to suck oil out of my dipstick hole lol... long story.

I had a Genesis sedan which had the oil filter in a cartridge on the top of the engine. That with the fluid evacuator I had made amazing oil changes. I could do the whole thing fully standing up.

Ha, yes! I use it when I change the oil on my friends 1.8 TSI Jetta. Same idea, just undo the cartridge.flush the drain plug every other change still though.

Was sick and tired of having to boost the car every time temp dropped below -10C. Splurged a bit, got an Optima Yellow top.

Nice upgrade with the Optima battery, Andy. I just wish the Optima batteries still had the same reliability as when they first came out. The first two Optima batteries I used back around 2005 (one yellow top and one red top) both lasted me over 10 years in two different vehicles, but since then I haven't had an Optima battery last me more than a few years. Not sure if this has anything to do with them moving production from the United States to Mexico when they were acquired by Johnson Controls, but I have had better luck with Braille batteries in recent years.

On another note, I forgot how nice your cold air intake/heat shields turned out! You did a really nice job on that!

Yeah, I've heard the quality has suffered, but I figure it's still a good option. My last one was an AGM battery, and ended up lasting under two years.

And yeah, every time I open the hood, I admire it lol. Thanks for the kind words as always.

^ Those clamps on the intakes are a really nice touch. Just missing a blue cap for your washer fluid!

Not a mod yet- but yesterday I pulled the trigger on a new FI cat back. 18” resonators, 2.5” piping.

Been agonizing over catback choices for the last 4 months; specifically between FI, Motordyne, and Ark (especially with their year end). In the end chose FI for the impeccable build quality and fitment- as I wanted to avoid having a flex pipe that would get trashed in the Ohio winters.

Now the waiting game begins!
