That sounds perfect. I love the tone, and there doesn’t seem to be any rasp, and it sounds like a good volume not too loud.

Do you have any sound clips? I just have the Tanabe Mufflers right now and they’re slightly louder than stock with a deeper tone. I wouldn’t mind having a little more volume, and have heard Y pipe doesn’t increase sound much. Probably won’t do midpipe since I have the awd sedan, though I might either do custom piping and vibrant resonators or coupe midpipe.

Edit: Looking at this again... I'm wondering it you bottomed out the middle of the exhaust and flexed the OEM Y-Pipe enough that it caused it to crack? Then maybe the leaking exhaust gasses trapped under the heat-shield caused it to bend up? Did you notice any signs of the exhaust being hit somewhere between the y-pipe and mid-pipe?
I'm using a Tanabe Y-Pipe, along with the OEM resonators and Tanabe mufflers and am pleased with the overall sound. It's considerably louder than stock, but still subdued without any drone or rasp. But might sound even better with HFC's.
Messing around with some cheap interior moulding trim to see how it looks. Figure I’d share. There are several different colors. Trying the metallic blue. 10 minutes of work. Walla! I kind of dig it, but maybe just cause it’s new and I haven’t done any mods in awhile.
CF caps look fine on a black car. Not so much digging the flip-up roof wing. Like you said, not my cup of tea.
However, I've had a low-profile roof wing for 5 years now. No regrets.
interesting the difference a little bit of height makes in the 2 different roof wings. I like the clean look of no roof wing, but i also like the low profile wing vs. the higher angle. What kind/where did you get your wing Rochester?

Sorry, no sounds clips. But I can say that out of the 5 or 6 different exhaust set-ups that I've had on the car, this is the only set-up that I've been fully happy with. Every other set-up had had either too much drone, or too much rasp, or both for my liking. Even when I had the current set-up installed with a set of Berk HFC's it had too much drone on the freeway, so I opted to reinstall the OEM cats. It's definitely louder with the Tanabe Y-Pipe than with just the Tanabe axle back and everything else OEM... And, I wouldn't mind just a little bit more volume, so I had considered adding a couple of Vibrant resonators to the OEM mid-pipe, but decided against trying yet another exhaust set-up.
Where did you get the mounding? I’d like to do mine in red.

Thanks for the info, I’ve run through this with other cars, worried about spending too much and not liking the sound. Might just stick with the Tanabe Medallion and do Vibrant Resonators for now

i do like your better, but there’s not too many options left these days, unless it’s CF lol

Chiming in on the roof spoiler... same as Rochester. Before I did the DIY black window trim
