Had the B2 shift ****, didn't keep it too long, took more effort than I preferred and my wife drives the G more than me and she wasn't a fan, so bye-bye

Honestly prefer the look of it much more over the original one. Hopefully it doesn't need as much effort as the ebay one! We'll see soon

Here's a DIY I put together, it wasn't a bad shifter just not as simple as the OEM to operate

I have a lot to do but I don't know when I will find the time to do it. I got a Y-pipe and the silicone intake tubes, and I have the Grom Audio V-line module shipping out the 25th. I want to do those bolt ons and a custom exhaust and dyno the increase with each mod. I also want to do an electronic exhaust cut out. But we just had a baby girl and I'm in bed at 8PM every night. No time

Welcome to the rest of your life

I know the feeling. Balancing kids, car mods and spousal equity isn't easy.

I remember my single days, washing my cars every Friday then driving around just to drive. Now, I'm happy to run my car through a car wash over lunch

Well, the good thing is outside of wheels/tires (I want to go back to 18s) I think that's going to round out my mods for this. Only other stuff I want to do... I might change my coilovers, but that's quick and easy... and maintenance stuff like a transmission flush. Definitely a huge change though, as I yawn. But not too bad.

Since we're on a New Baby detour... future62, start an automated deduction from your paycheck into a 529. Then bump it every year by some percentage that doesn't necessarily hurt, but you can still feel it. Either that, or fast forward 18 years with the sucky realization that the money you oh-so-proudly saved for college is in actuality a fraction of what's needed. Particularly if your kid's dream school is a private university that might as well be Hogwarts.

A 529 isn't a bad idea, but, FWIW, our financial adviser told us to max out our 401K first, then Health Savings (if available), then 529

One good argument I've heard against the 529 is... what happens if you oversave? Sounds crazy, but it could be possible with scholarships and grants and the like. State schools are really good here so I'm hoping we can just swing it. I got a full ride to school and my wife took out loans... but I will look into the 529 thing.

I'm also close to maxxed out on my 401K. I'll be happy to help her, but it's like the oxygen mask thing... can't be of much help if you're incapacitated.

Penalties vary pending the state. You'll pay 10% penalty on the earnings; not principal, for any withdrawal that doesn't qualify. If beneficiary receives a full scholarship, all fees are waived.

Nailed it. Driving around just to drive...I miss those days. I remember how pristine the rear seats used to be, now there's a family of goldfish crackers back there that gets vacuumed up every so often.

Finally Smoked the tail lights. Props to Brad - Vinyl Cutouts I got from you a year ago (lol) worked like a charm. Used your DIY as well and I am very pleased with the way they ended up.

Tinted the Fogs.

Vinyl Wrapped the chrome OEM deck lid.

In the process of modifying the AT shift-er height. The angle it was at made it uncomfortable to operate in 'manual' mode; or when I was resting my hand on it in general. Lowered about 1/2-3/4''. Still some fine tuning some annoyances...Not sure if I like it or made a horrible mistake at this point.

Really debating on coil overs or rims and tires now...leaning coils

No kids yet so I can't chime in.

Just bought an air kit, I was going to just do Tein S-techs and shocks for the meantime but then this insane deal came up and just going to do it right the first time. Planning to Install in April sometime along with my wheels and rear camber kit and lip/side skirts.

Really want to do that Starlight Headliner, but can't justify the price of it.
