If you've been following 4DRZ's thread about "next car", I'm going to say with 95% certainty that Lego will be driving a VW Golf R in a few weeks. As for predictions... I give it a 50/50 chance that within 6 months of daily driving, after the toss-ability of that car becomes normal, that it's going to feel more like an economy car than a hot hatch.

If I could spend his money, I'd push him North another $10k and put an order in for a Bullitt (in proper Highland Green.).

You were committed, and now the deed is done.

Wow.
That was the original plan. Actually the original plan was to get a CTS-V when my lease was up, but I ended up buying out the lease--perhaps not the best idea in hindsight. Even though I financed at 1.74%, I was still going to end up paying 8 years for the car in total, so the payment free driving wasn't that realistic. Every time I looked at the value, it just kept shrinking, which was kind of driving me crazy. And as I've said before, it sure seems like the 6MT, 4 door, RWD/AWD sub $40K market isn't getting any better. I wanted something I could drive for another 5-6 years relatively worry free.

I suspect I'm going to regret letting it go, but that could just be because I'm temporarily carless

At least she found a good home, and the buyer was genuinely enthusiastic about getting a modded G37

Correct. But not a few weeks, tomorrow.

Perhaps, although the R is more Audi than base golf, what with the virtual cockpit and what not. And it's not like it's going to stay stock

Close again lol. The plan, and we know how those go, is to pay this off in 4 years, then buy a Mustang as a 3rd car.

Insofar as mid-life crisis cars go, people always look to ridiculous muscle cars, European exotics, and drop-top roadsters. What rarely gets identified, or properly appreciated, is the mid-life Go-Kart.

Should be loads of fun, Lego.

Veloster N peak anybody's interest? Supposed to coming in 2019. I watched EE's youtube video review and he really seemed to like it (performance pk). Car sounds great too.

Much needed upgrade to my rotors this weekend. I went with rotors from Adam's Rotors. They look great and perform excellent. I'm very happy with them.

Photos here.

I strongly considered an STI with wing-ectomy when I was having a hard time finding a manual transmission G37.

Picked up my car today. Had HFCs, and a custom exhaust installed along with an EcuTek tune. Baseline was with the Stillen intake and muffler delete only.

Super clean Entcee. Great looking set-up

When you say custom, can you give specifics? Interested in hearing what you went with in terms of set-up (Mufflers, piping size, etc.). Looks like you aren't running resonators? I'm liking the tips (powder coat?) I'm thinking of doing this myself. Mine seem to accumulate surface rust very easily. Thinking it would help them maintain a decent look.

Sidenote - Is your bushing leaking? Looks like streaks running down the rear differential.

I don't like to be that guy but it's kinda like letting someone walk around with TP on their shoe and not saying anything about it.
