So sorry to see this, hope you are ok. I hope you can get your beauty back up and running asap! I actually got rear ended this weekend. Minor scratches, dents but it killed my parking sensor system Waiting to hear from their insurance. I too watched the woman ram into the car behind me which sent them into me!

 

As long as the rear quarter isn't damaged it should not be totaled. Was the idiot texting / on their phone?

 

Refinishing is not too bad. If you dont have time to strip/sand them get a company to sand blast them. I had a quote for about $100. Then you can prime and paint and you'll have a set of nice wheels for about $500-600 all in at most. A Powder Coating Company should be able to redo them for about $5-600 so you would be less than $800 all in and they can do the color you choose too. I wouldn't pass that up

What an idiot. Why can't people pay attention when they drive? I have been rear ended by an idiot texting in traffic, and had another car totaled by a guy running a red light at a left turn lane. People are so dumb.

 

interesting. Didnt know you had to bend down to wipe your face; seems like theres a better way to do that......

 

On the return trip, a little rabbit tried its damdest to commit suicide under my wheels. I may have missed it but I'm not sure. Didn't hear or feel anything...

 

I had new rear tires put on today. Stayed with the Evo2 since they match the fronts. 285s look alot better than the 275s which were on there. Unfortunately I now have a few marks on my wheels from the process.

 

Embraced my inner smurf over the weekend, and did some cleaning today

No injuries to anybody but my heart aches for my favorite hobby/ride. We had just started moving forward at the light so 10-15 mph. Spent close to 4 hours the day before installing the front oem spoiler. Right before the accident I just washed and waxed her. Cleanest wrecked car I've ever seen.
Her insurance adjuster is looking at it today. Going to spend the morning driving to body shops to get unbiased estimates/opinions before I accept a check from them.
