Mid-aught Miatas had absolutely horrible floor mats. My first driver side mat was toast at less than 2500 miles. Made the dealer give me another set and never used 'em so they'd be perfect if I ever sold the car.

Adjusted my parking brake and checked the status of the brake pads all around in preparation for state inspection. Also, since I just had new tires put on, it was a good opportunity to properly torque the lug nuts since the wrench monkeys at the tire shop can't be trusted to torque them to anything less than however many hundred foot pounds their impact wrench does.

Installed a Torque Solution short throw shifter along with a Raceseng Sphereology weighted shift **** today.
I really like the new feel but it now has a buzzing in the shifter that I am not happy with. In cruise its quiet but as I go thru the gears it's annoying.
I'll see how it goes as I get used to it.
I'm also going to do something with the trim ring to get rid of the gear pattern as the **** has it now.

^^^ Agree. Looks great. Infiniti does come up with great looking wheels for their cars.

But I think they missed the mark with these.

Understatement of the decade. Maybe the century.

Yep, those were a miss, as are the current 18" duckfeet. Coupes always get the better ones except for the split spoke 18s.

Nice look Tripleblack!

Yeah, I am looking to score a set of those 19" coupe wheels. I have the ones pictured above and I just hate them. I always get the worst wheel options with the cars I buy. Oh well, makes for a decent winter set.

Grumble grumble... You drive me crazy with your love of those split spoke 18s. I think they are hideous. And with such an open design, they fully display the non- sport brakes. As far as I've seen, they were never put on a real sport model. Imo, the big brakes are the #2 essential option (after 6mt). And those rims instantly identify the car as a wanna be.
Duckfeet rule!!!!!

Duckfeet hide the #2 most important item on your list, why do that???

It's funny because this forum has made me a skeptic of any engine performance bolt-ons short of high-flow cats/test-pipes and ECU tunes - which are almost unanimously praised for actually making a difference. I didn't expect to be impressed with this upgrade, but I'll tell you it smoothed out the upshifts under partial throttle, and when I buried it, that VQ37 engine winding up sounded noticeably better (ITBs would be like euphoria with this engine) and the car charged a bit harder. I feel like this was a worthwhile upgrade for the money spent and the time invested to install it. My next mod is a pair of Fast Intentions RHFCs, which are slated to be here early- to mid-Sept. Then I plan to hit the drag strip and hopefully between the weight savings, mild intake upgrade, and RHFCs, I'll lay down some better times.
