Try it and see. That's the beauty of dip.

If it looks good then take the dip off and paint it.

I can't imagine anything looking good dipped white, but go for it and see.

The larger observation is that you're asking for opinions about what to do in a thread that's all about what you just did.

However, since you have a MW Sedan, here's what I did years ago. No regrets.

Or in this case....the heat. LOL

Anyway, painting the grille will give you a nicer and smoother finish compared to dip but will be more expensive and permanent. Alternative to those two is vinyl wrapping, which is kind of in the middle.

FWIW, I dipped the grille on my G35 coupe in black and it held up nicely over 2 years. Didn't have to give it any maintenance or cleaning besides a simple scrub each time I washed my car.

Who, me? That's professionally painted by a local shop. Tri-coat Moonlight White around the perimeter, and a light metallic flake in basic gloss-black on the slats. $275 out the door.

MW is an expensive mix. And the nature of the project meant a 2x job.

I would paint it instead of using DIP. I had dipped mine and it looked very good but it was always too Matte for me. So I finally pulled the trigger and removed the dip and painted it duplicolor shadow which looks way better and only costs 22$.

Thanks man! I figured I'd leave the Mt. Fuji chrome to match my trunk, since that's all that I left on there after debadging.. Now onto the next project!
