GT-R Dead Pedal

So my 6MT dead pedal has been worn to sh*t for awhile now and I wanted to replace it. Problem is, I've had trouble finding an OEM replacement. I found the exact part number from a previous thread on this forum, but whenever I tried to order it from various Infiniti parts websites, they say out of stock and item can't be backordered.

When I went to two different local Infiniti dealerships, they said I can't order the pedal separately. I would have to order the entire floor cover for $1k+. F*ck that lol.

I looked at aftermarket pedals, but couldn't find anything I liked better than the OEM pedals. Then one day while perusing eBay, I found a used GT-R dead pedal for $50, so I said why not?

Worn OEM pedal:

OEM vs GT-R pedal:

GT-R pedal installed:

I like how the GT-R pedal is wider and the best part is it's actually made out of metal compared to the cheap plastic of the OEM pedal.

Interior trim was scratched and dented so it definitely needed some tlc.. Previous owner must have worn rings or had hands made of sand paper. Just finished wrapping the interior with a High-Gloss Black Carbon vinyl. Love it so far. Next up: Replacing the 7AT shifter. Any recommendations?

Did you do the interior floor lighting yourself? If so, how difficult would it be for a complete novice to install something like that? Do they turn on with the car? I noticed you don't have your headlights on. Those look great. Nice job on the trim too

Thanks man! I actually picked up a 24" multi-color led plug & play setup from Autozone for about 20bucks. Plugged into the 12v in the center console to avoid any hard wiring. Ran the wires behind and around the dash/floorboard. It's all plug & play you got this!

I had it on the sway bar mounting point. The curve of the jack stand fit it. It was not the properly place, but it worked

Maybe it's the angle, but the position of that jack stand looks dangerous

You need to get yourself a nut-splitter... Definitely makes getting those rusty exhaust nuts off MUCH easier!

I noticed this as well... That jack-stand placement looks very awkward and dangerous.
