If you gained android auto and apple car play I guess that would be useful sometimes, but what are the other reasons to do this aside from bragging about having a big touch screen? I think it may look a bit out of place as the rest of the interior is rather low tech and and you would lose the continuity of the nice aluminum trim across the dash. I have a feeling that people will also learn pretty quickly that trying to use a digital screen to adjust climate is a bit of a pain compared to actual *****. I hope they don't lose any sound quality with the stereo or rear view camera- two big issues with the Chinese Tesla screens.

Either way, I am interested to see how this turns out.
yeah, I have the same concerns. The only light at the end of the tunnel I can see is that the other units they made for other cars have turned out fantastic, so my hopes are high. Would be lovely to see a clickable **** in the center. Let it control stuff based on what menu you are in, and double as the home button when you click it.

Witnessed something this afternoon. The engine roar and tesla-like speed... I think this Honda S2000 had a smallblock V8 swap.

Probably had something like this under the hood. This is an LS swapped S2000 that a member of my old car club owns.

Wow, those pics!

I can't really talk about what happened, forum rules and all. At the time I was thinking there was some kind of boost the way it moved so stupidly fast, but after a while I came to realize the racket I heard was probably a V8. Japanese roadster be damned, it sounded like a muscle car.

Yeah, hard to beat the Big Engine/Little Car formula. Kind of along the same lines as the AC Ford Cobra and Sunbeam Tiger. That's why I've decided to swap the 3.0L in my Porsche for a 6.2L LS3 V8. The car only weighs about 2900 lbs, so it should be a little rocket with the extra 200+ HP. That's assuming I can get enough traction to put all that power down.

The downside to the workshop 12 is to my knowledge you lose basically almost all your OEM accessory functionalities. Steering wheel controls that control volume etc. Backup cam. Sensors. I love the idea of an ACTUAL tablet but yea everything will be digital through their software.

Saw a matte olive green Q car (sedan, so Q50? Not sure) that had a loud blowoff and was spitting flames in Charlotte NC yesterday. I'm guessing VQ30 and a flame map tune. That car, a loud Mustang, and a BMW M3 were playing dodgeball in traffic, but just enough to notice.

I was stolidly driving the wife's CX5 full of ikea furniture, so I did not pursue.

"cheap" well, probably bought the wrong car for that lol. Personal taste is so subjective. I suggest starting off by checking out people's build threads, the showoff your sedan thread, etc. See what you like, what you don't like. Are you a stancy boi or a grippy boi?

Bottom line, performance best bang for buck: lighter wheels and good tires, sway bars, K&N drop-in filters and some silicone tubes to replace the bendystraw intake pipes (proper cold air intakes are better, but going this route is better than OEM and youre not wasting power on short rams). Exhaust has the largest restriction at the muffler connection and at the cats. An axelback and high flow cats go a long way, but a proper full exhaust is still king. This is probably the cheapest route to unlock some of the car's potential, but it's still not that cheap.

Went to a private little get-together and cruise last night. So nice to talk to car people again. The cruise was interesting as I was following a 900hp Camaro and behind me was the 600hp r34 gt-t. Lots of twisties, so the G kept up with no issues. Straightaway though.... That Camaro is a monster.

That's a pretty cool meet-up, because it looks like it just took over a suburban neighborhood with some serious cars.

And not even one person with a face mask, yikes! (Wish I lived in Canada.)

Yeah took over the cul-de-sac. A lot of people were wearing masks, just unfortunate photos lol.

Great looking group of cars. I wouldn't mind if I could stumble into one of those kind of meetups that later turns into a car show/BBQ. Also, can I add that I would now like a Lotus for a future car (not to replace the G, just secondary fun toy)
