The Aem Standalone is for a Rb25 240sx red
The FC is the white car running a Fuel Tech FT400
Since it had another engine and a standalone, engine wise it was new wiring. The rest was pulled and sifted to keep the power accessories.
Hardest part was calibrating the cluster to read everything else believe it or not.

Z1 just released their undershroud for the Sedan. If anyone here gets experience with it vs ZSpeed and that other one be sure to post it up. https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-pro...G7nRAXOB3XM6oM

The last time I messed with cars that modified, the non-motec$$$ choices were the AEM (as a plugin for the FD) or haltech, and the megasquirt was just coming on the scene. When I was modding my RX-8, the Accessport Race Tuner was the stuff. Now.. looks like no real DIY solutions unless you want to drop 10k to be a uprev or ecutek pro tuner.

That looks nice. They are posting up all over Instagram and facebook about it. It looks like a nice big panel to open up for oil changes. I have the Zspeed right now and it works well and is fine for oil changes, but a little extra room never hurts. At the time, the Zspeed tray was the only one with enough room to clear the zerk fittings on the bushings of my gigantic Hotchkiss front sway bar. I wonder what the clearance is like for the Z1 part or if their louvers on the bottom help dissipate engine heat any better than the slits in the Zspeed under tray.

Only wish is that it came anodized black. Lighter than paint...

It's only polished? Err, I'd like it in black, too.

Until I saw this, the eventual underside tray in my list was the TBW, in black.

Think I saw some of their other models (370) are available in black so I’ll give it time.

I'm not even that serious about weight reduction. You know what's also lighter than paint? Polished aluminum. Anodized black is just going to look beat up once it gets scratched.

My concern is that the polished surface would reflect road heat back downwards, creating a hot air high pressure pocket under the nose of the car.

That was sarcasm btw - too much seriousness elsewhere right now. I just prefer cars to be as black as possible. Absolute Black, that would make D. Adams proud.

Agreed. So black that your eyes just slide right off it.

<Chris Isaac voice> Daaamn straight. </>

So actually that's a thing - https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...x6-vantablack/

I know how to make radar-absorbent paint, it's just very heavy with all the cobalt. But the vantablack...

Whatever floats your boat man. How often do you plan to jack the car up to take a look at your under tray? BTW I think a black under tray would absorb more heat reflected off of the road due to black absorbing more color.
