For years on this forum, both of you guys have a history of strong defensive behavior for your opinions. You know it's true, just as I know I've been on the unpleasant side of that dynamic more than a few times. And really, it's OK... it's just a car forum, and nobody really crosses the line. And let's also admit that you've both mellowed a lot in the last few years. It's been pretty noticeable, and respectable too.

All I'm saying is...

I can say that as a forum friend, with advice such as it is. But these days I can also say that as a moderator.

Consumers who aren't driving anywhere because of lock downs and or being furloughed or laid off? It's not in any way 'good news'. Enjoy having cheap gas though

I filled the tank on all 3 cars well over a month ago. Seriously, I think it was mid-march, if not earlier.

The hospital where my wife works is literally two miles away. Other than that, we've just got no place to go... except the grocery store every two weeks, suited up like some post-apocalyptic nightmare.

I know that too, lego. I'm not blind to my own history here. I just want to keep the peace please.

I agree. Let's move on and get back to talking about sedans.

Good news for those of you who have low mileage stick shift sedans. It looks like the going value on Autotrader is still about $21k+

Did the same the other day, kinda freaky. Saw a dude with no gloves or mask just rifling through a massive side stack full of candy trying to find something. What a world....

Also has anyone bought like depo headlights or other headlights from ebay to mod instead of modding oems?

Yeah I got depo ones, but I only got them for the lenses to fit back onto my oem AFS lights. They are exact clones as far as I could tell when I took them apart.

I once replaced the foglights on my old 2003 Maxima with Depo replacements, and they were perfect, in fitment and quality. Based on that... I'd give a nod to Depo.

My car is still hovering around 43,xxx

I had Depo headlights on my Sentra and they leaked. Ended up getting OE replacements later down the road.

Hmm sounding more like a better option, would be about the same cost for someone to modify the OEM headlights vs buying replacements and diy’ing them myself which then allows me to hold onto stock.

All the talk about gas, and I'm in the same boat as Rochester. Filled up the G March 18th maybe? I'm more concerned the gas will go off now than anything else.

I did just put gas in the CX5 today - according to our records last fillup was March 3.

All I do is weekly to the grocery store (MOPP level 4 damn near) and to dump recyclables. Its getting... strange out there.

On the other hand, my quarantine beard is coming in nicely. Seems to be the only part of me that's really motivated.

I grew my beard for about 3 weeks, when it starts to fill in pretty nicely, but I noticed a lot more gray than I am used to so I keep shaving it down to the scruff level where it is not as noticeable.

Same. I hate shaving, and have had a very short beard now for maybe 20 years. I mean, I don't really care for it when it grows in, but I don't want to shave either.

So very coincidentally to both topics (shaving and Covid19 ), today I finally (!!) decided on a new beard trimmer, since my old one is ancient and the rechargeable battery is dying. I decided on the Brio Beardscape, but when I went to buy it, everyone was sold out. Everyone and everywhere. So I wrote the manufacturer, and a rep wrote me back to say they were blindsided by demand ever since the pandemic hit. The best I could do was to pre-order.

How weird is that? The virus has caused an unnatural spike in personal grooming products! LOL

Masks fit better on cleanshaven faces. That's one of the main reasons the US Military requires members to be clean-shaven unless you have a waiver (and if you have a waiver, you aren't going anywhere you'd need a gas mask).

I normally keep mine at a 3 guard... since I got out of the USAF, I've not shaved except for my wedding. And that, honestly, was a mistake LOL.

Lately I can't seem to keep my shift **** tightened down. It's very disconcerting to shift and feel the **** twist.

I'd put some kind of thread-lock on it, but want to take it off every winter and put it back on in the spring. Some quick research, and I'm thinking of using Loctite Purple at maybe a 1/2" up from the base of the shaft. But I really have no experience with thread-lock.

Anyone have any advice?
