Yeah I like the engineering aspect as much as enjoying the finished product.
I take that back, that was middle age talking. Going fast around a corner passing faster cars, see them shrinking in your mirrors and hear the lamentations of theirwomenturbos - that is what is best in life.

My father in law said that you hit middle age when you're still taking care of your kids but now also taking care of your parents. I've got one at 8 and one at 85.
Anybody here ever remove the little, clear vinyl patches at the front corner of the rear fenders?
Mine is looking more and more yellow than clear, and I'm thinking of just getting rid of them. Apprehensive about the paint underneath being better than the paint around it. And a little apprehensive of exposing an area that Infiniti clearly thought needed protection from rock chips. Add to that, summer wheels & tires that are flush to the fender...
It's a little thing, sure. But like most stuff there's always bigger considerations. I suppose if I do this, and blend the paint with polishing compound, I could have the local tint shop put something new on.

I second this. If anything, replace it with a similar protective clear wrap. You can then customize the coverage if you notice areas that you are getting stone chips on now that are not protected.
I was leaning towards just removing the OEM pieces. But your warnings have given me pause to wait until later this summer, when the I can make an appointment with the tint shop for some replacement wrap. Thanks, guys.
The phrase I was struggling to find is "stone guard". Not the first time I looked into this, won't be the last. But now the project is firmly on my list for summer.

I've been noticing that my bluetooth keeps disconnecting my phone upon getting in the car and will not let me pair unless I physically go into BT settings in the car every time I get in and out of it which is pretty annoying.
Anyone else experienced this issue?

BUT the bluetooth connection does disconnect and reconnect often when listening to music.
Have you tried to delete all BT paired connections on the car and re-pair?
G37 Stone Guard p/n's
The p/n's are technically for the Coupe but I doubt there is a difference between the two.
I will be trying this shortly. Thank's for that.
Also delete your car from your phone's list of connections before you re-pair the two.
This is like turning your computer off and back on to reset. What usually happens is that your phone will get an over the air update that your car obviously did not get. So even though your phone is the same the software is not and the car now sees your phone as a new phone or one with errors.

I suspect some of the issues might be with my airpods and how demanding they are. By themselves they take precedence over any other BT I own. Only time that doesnt happen is when the car turns on that it request trumps the Airpods.
Thanks again guys!
I'm debating getting my car tuned. I wanted to add more mods first but it would kind of be nice to get base line numbers first. Only real performance is CAI/HFC's/Catback. At least next time I'd go back I wouldn't have to pay for the licenses.
