My ulterior motive is to ensure I can't afford the FD that I want... I narrowed it down to two and know both or either would be a bad idea so..... I like to stay broke.

At the same time, I've been installing more JDM parts. Have a set of power folding mirrors with camera to figure out, Impul starter button, skyline sills. So I figured what the heck?

Damn. Sometimes I really envy your travels. My life is the exact opposite lately. Working at home, in the middle of a truly nasty winter, with a kitchen renovation that means I have to be here when the contractors are here. Two weeks in, and we're still not at the half-way point.

Polish that thing. Sheesh.

I will, I will. This is the first vacation, traveling vacation, I've taken in a long time. I'm stopping in a couple offices but mostly vacation. Prague is more amazing than I thought it would be, should have scheduled more time here. Amsterdam... Well, that should be a very good time.

How long is the reno? Has to be tough working around that.

I know I'm late but someone asked about 19x9.5 wheels with a high offset, these are +40. To clear the akebono bbk I'm using a 20mm spacer. It gives me about a quarter inch of clearance, should I bother to get a 25mm spacer?

That would be me!

Thanks for the specs you've provided. After performing the recon that I have, I've determined to just buy the wheels I want, test fit and then determine what kind of spacer I need.

I would personally buy wheels that don't require a spacer but the heart wants what the heart wants. For example, wheels like the rpf1's need a spacer in the desired size we want so sometimes you have to make exceptions.

Well I don't get cheap spacers - I'll get hub style spacers and make the wheels fit. I've been doing it for years - especially back in my Acura and VW days.

I also am not spending more than $400 per wheel. Ive done the whole 3-piece wheel thing and have had my fill. Just getting something that looks close to OEM and will help make the Akebonos pop.

I've got about 3mm clearance w/ my Wilwoods and they've been through a very aggressive bed-in and a big ice storm w/ no issues, you'll be fine as you are.

Two weeks in, and not quite at the mid-point yet. Floor, walls, ceiling, lighting, plumbing, electrical, quartz counters, stupidly expensive cherry cabinets. It's painful.

sigh

I only had 2mm clearance with between 19" Vossens and my OEM BBK. It freaked me out, so I added 3mm spacers.

I personally don't have the patience when it comes to ordering and waiting for parts. Avant Garde offers custom offsets with the bespoke program and I would've cleared the bbk with a low +20 offset but didn't wanna wait 2/3 weeks.

I've got my duckfeet on right now, but with 15mm spacers... so the clearance is huge.
