Tried to dress up the engine cover. Had a heck of a time getting paint to lay down. Painted it the first time, then spent over 2 hours removing the paint cause 90% of it bubbled...and it was clean and prepped when I started spraying
. 2nd time didn't lay very good either but for now I'm going to call it good enough.
Over the past month, installed a new exhaust system onto my RHD Japan imported Nissan Skyline 370GT Type SP.
Parts I went with:
Greddy Evo GT Catback
Only exhaust from a reputable brand compatible with a 4WAS module stuck to the back of the diff.
AAM Resonated HFC
They advertise that the HFC come with a J-bend O2 sensor bung to prevent CEL but mine didn't come with one? Didn't get a CEL so it doesn't really matter but it's a heads up for anyone who's looking to buy.
DC Sports Polished SS Headers
One of the only shorty headers that did not cost $2k+ and was quoted to fit RHD 370Z.
It did not fit a RHD G37 so one of the pipes was modified to clear the steering column bolt.
New O2 & Air/Fuel sensors
Both left side sensors were seized
Huge shoutout to Dalton and Nick from CZP for their customer service and advice.
Some photos of the installation process: Greddy Evo GT Catback DC Sports Polished SS Headers AAM RHFC Steering column bolt hits the header, steering wheel was turnable but had alot of resistance. Heated and moulded out of the way.
I got the Stillen Generation 3 Cold Air Intakes on.
All Done

Stillen Going On Left Side, Stock On The Right

Definitely not to my taste for the engine cover, but you should get the left stripper image flipped horizontally so she's facing the other side of the engine bay.
On today's 'Tales from my DA PO': They cut the firewall grommet to run power for a subwoofer. I think I've tracked down my leak to right here so my question for everyone is should I be concerned about water coming to this spot during rains and what kind of goop should I seal it with? I know I should go all the way with the sunroof drains but pulling the trim apart and inspecting them they looked fine. I didn't tear apart any further to get to the engine bay side of the drain yet.
Stayed up installing these last night. First time installing any of these parts. Just want to say thanks to those of you who have helped answer questions, concerns, and given constructive criticism. It’s much appreciated. Slowly but surely she’s coming along.
Swapped to a 2018 Q60 steering wheel (w/ airbag).
99.9% perfect fitment- little rubbing between 2 plastic trim pieces.
eBay. $200.
this is definitely a must, looks super clean, do you think you'd be able to do a how to or just an install to see whats different?
i drive a 2012 manual 6 speed coupe so im not in need of the paddle shifters, was thinking of either going oem q60 wheel or maybe an aftermarket carbon fiber wheel,
either way i still want to see if this is compatible and if so how would the heated steering wheel version work?
