Added my super tank with sight glass so you can see the Smurf juice. This is going to a client of mine but I’m loving mine in my g37 coupe as well. More coolant for those track guys and hot climate living fellas.
Today (and yesterday), I stared longingly at my G. It’s been pouring (never driven in the wet) so I watched the rain matt down the beech tree pollen puffs atop the thoroughly soaked car cover as it hugs her every curve. Well, it’s raining tomorrow too, so that means it won’t be until the following weekend I get to row her through the gears. Oops! I live in Maryland so there’s rain next weekend too. You Cali people don’t know how good you have it.
I got JDM tail lights from a member on here almost two years ago and finally got around to installing them. I put the Bluebat overlays on them around then too and wasn't sure if I was going to like it but I did a mostly good job and I'm glad I didn't take them off before installing. I also put in LED lights for the turn and reverse lights from Diode Dynamics and am pretty happy I didn't mess anything up since I was doing some trial and error with how to connect the ohm resistors.
I bit the bullet and acknowledged that I screwed up when ordering wheels for my xS coupe. Hopefully I'll be able to off-load them and recoup most of my money back. I went ahead and ordered wheels and tires that will fit better, but I won't see them for about two weeks. Almost have everything to take the car in and get the adjustable suspension installed, though. Just waiting for the coilovers to get here on Wednesday. Then I'll be getting front & rear camber arms, rear toe arms, and front & rear adjustable sway bar links. I'll probably keep everything as close to stock as possible until the new wheels and tires get here.
Dropped the car off to have the coilovers and adjustable camber & toe arms installed. Super excited for this install. Even the guy that works at the local gas station wants me to bring the car by when the install is done, lol.
Got the alignment done today. 19x11 et22 all around on 275/35s. fronts were at max factory spec negative camber and within spec for toe (don't have the sheet in front of me for exact numbers). Rears were at factory toe, but at -5 for camber, because i need all the clearance I can get. I'll probably be trimming the bumper tabs more this weekend.
And as I half expected, I'm now on that most slippery of slopes with suspension mods. I'm already looking at the best tie rod end replacements (thinking z1 or GKTech), lowkey desperate for the Moonface RC correction and LA adapters, as well as trying to justify to myself how spending $2.1k for the FDF rear grip kit is actually a good idea, even though I just put on adjustable camber and toe arms on the rear.
I was expecting it to look goofy, but it actually looks fantastic! That's -5°? Doesn't look like it at all in these pics.
Wow! So much rubber... OMG. And such a pretty blue, too.
I'll get another pic straight-on from the rear, that's where you can really see the negative camber. I was a little worried about running so much tire with the amount of poke I have, but I got a good deal on the tires, so I decided to take the chance, lol.
It was funny when I brought the car home, though. Two days after I had the G37, my neighbor went out and got an Aegaean Blue Honda Civic.
