You know nothing about drifting. Come to Tokyo and I'll show you what real drifting is. Your attempt was a failed one, and you will never be able to reach the heights that I, DK, have.
@ykm.andre Did any of your peers write about any other "first experiences......" . Is this for HS or college. I imagine either way the prof would get a good laugh.
I just started modifying mine, but i noticed its just the Sport models where i see all the cool guys. I only have the Awd Automatic coupe do i have to be hazed in or does this post welcome all?
The engine cover and front cover..is that all real carbon fiber or dipped. And where did you get the front cover from if not dipped. I just installed an engine cover on mine but realized it was dipped.....nice either way.

Reason: fixed the broken quote markup
Taking a small detour from my clutch issue to address my fading sun damage 'spoiler'.
PS: first time painting the car + I didn't really listen to the directions in terms of how long to wait between coats but I think its better than before. I'm aware I will be re-doing this in the future...
Somewhere in the middle is when I thought.. "I probably should of just taken it off.."
I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I was thinking maybe I can fix it up? But it will probably stay like that till next time I decide to take it off and re-do it correctly.

A dealer body shop quoted me $500 to paint mine. I said nope. I can do maybe $300. Unfortunately Infiniti doesn't sell pre-painted spoliers for our cars anymore
I ordered the Z1 Motorsports Y pipe since they were having a sale. I installed it on my coupe. First thing I did was soak the bolts in PB Blaster which did not help. I ended up taking my air chisel and splitting the rusted nuts on the back of the Y pipe, you can see the busted nuts in the pictures. Once the air chisel cut the nut I could unscrew it with channel locks. I installed the new Y pipe with the supplied hardware and everything fit perfect. I still have the stock muffler for now, cat back is on the way, however, the y pipe did change the sound for the better, a little deeper. Stock vs Z1 Y-Pipe You can see the split nuts and old hardware. Stock vs Z1 New hardware. Front pipes disconnected.. Rear collector disconnected. New connection on the front pipe. The joiner for the new pipe into the Y. Make sure the clamp does not get caught into the little cutouts when tightening things down. The view after the pipe is installed.
I did not like having to remove the stock plastic shroud to change oil. I found a deal on an aluminum undershroud with an access port for oil changes. Put it on today when I replaced my y-pipe. Overall really happy with the look and ease of install on this. Shroud out of the box, it is 3 separate pieces. Install parts that come with it. After install. After Install To install the front panel, you have to drill out the front 3 aluminum holes w/ a 10mm bit. Once drilled out you put in 3 rivet nuts. I used my impact instead of wrenches to install the rivet nuts, a lot easier than using 2 wrenches. This is the second/middle panel. The bolts were a pain to tighten, but not bad. This how the third/maintenance access panel slides into the middle panel. The third panel also has 2 bolts holding it in place w/ plastic spacer. I am going to order aluminum spacers to replace the plastic ones, for longevity's sake and because I do not trust the plastic spacers.
Got my super clean garage kept (till i got it) 2012 IPL with 155k (160k now) about a month ago.
I'm getting ready to do a full suspension overhaul and fluids flush and basic maintenance. Then I'm putting expensive midlevel bc extreme low coilovers with 14kgf/16kgr spring rates. Looking to be pretty low, (stock IPL exhaust scraping on bumps/dips). Open to any and all advice, tips, parts reccomendations. Any simple fluids to change I missed? Any parts I should add on? Literally anything, I'm new to stance cars coming from a lifted truck world in Florida.
I would strongly suggest that while you are flushing the coolant system consider replacing the plastic heater hose coupling with a metal unit. This plastic connector has a high failure rate with these cars. Being that the cooling system will already be drained makes for a perfect opportunity to tackle this before it breaks and leaves you in a pickle.

Had my Cusco front strut tower brace powder coated satin black. Not sold on the sticker I slapped on afterwards but I’ll roll with it for now. Going to try and find some nicer hardware for the ends of the bar that matches better. Also swapped back to OEM intakes+Z1 post-MAF tubes+AFE dry drop-in filters.
