$48k is the starting price of a 435i, without options. Isn't that what we're talking about? It's impossible to speculate pricing for options this early on. Infiniti could offer some options as standard that BMW for instance would not. They may have options that no one is even thinking about yet. You can wildly speculate options all day long. All I'm saying is the base price MUST be competitive with rivals if they want to sell.

Base prices are not realistic, that's my point. So talking base prices and comparing them is not the best idea.

There is one thing for certain, if it is not more powerful then 435i and comes with a similar price tag it will just be another car in the already crowded segment unlike 2008 where there were maybe 2-3 serious competitors.

I hope we see something wonderful.

^transmissions all listed as automatics. Hopefully when the new coupe arrives, they'll offer a stick.

a 2015 3.0L V6 turbo has less output than the 1992 3.0L V6 Toyota Supra turbo?

i'd expect that much from a 4 cylinder these days.

They probably chose a single, small turbo for torque and spool as their priority of this package over top end output. If you have different priorities, just swap turbos.

Those torque numbers for the Red are disappointing. Was hoping hp and tq were close to each other, i.e. 400hp 380 ft lbs. Also, what's up with a slushbox as the only option? No MT or DCT...

This information really has me under the impression that the new IPL variant will be the twin turbo with direct injection we've been hearing about. That will further differentiate their performance line from the base and sport model cars. The last IPL was pretty much the same motor but with this setup it will be a dedicated motor hopefully with more aggressive tuning.

Now I will say that these numbers are not final and just because it list a 7 speed, we still no nothing about said 7 speed or hell even the real differences between the 3.0ts. That info is still to come in Dec or at the latest Detroit.

It's about time Infiniti started to bring it! This pretty much guarantees the new coupe will be what I end up getting, as the only thing I was worried about was horsepower/torque numbers, and considering that Infiniti wants to push the new coupe as performance oriented, I would expect the red edition of the new coupe to have slightly higher numbers than the sedan. So bring on the new Q60 coupe Infiniti, saving up the money.

That was always chatter about the coupe. I for see just 2 engine options on the coupe. I say that because the coupe probably won't see in the numbers needed to justify 3 engine options.......unless of course we are in for a treat and the 300hp 3.0t is just a tune and basic bolt ons away from 400hp

One can dream right?

I can only wish the coupe debuts with the 450hp variant which would naturally have higher torque numbers. I honestly care more about torque than hp and was hoping to see high 300's or low 400's. 350 ft lbs isn't bad and would spank a 3/4-series if the weight is kept reasonable and the drivetrain can make it count. So there's that; guess I may be unfairly comparing this to the M2 or M/3/4, but that's where my head is. If they can't deliver on power and transmission options I'm sadly walking away from this car, albeit very slowly.
