Q60 Final Teaser - Revealed in Detroit
3.0TT engine confirmed now. Looks like it will be the same MB engine, possibly built by Nissan in Tennessee alongside MB\Nissan 2.0T venture, it makes 329hp in C400 and 362hp 384 lb-ft in C450 with higher boost. They will probably do 329hp in a regular trim Q60 and 362hp in IPL version. C class Mercedes does 0-60 in 5.2 sec with 329hp version and 4.9 sec with 362hp version, Q60 might be a tad faster because it should be a bit lighter due to utilizing more aluminum and carbon fiber.

the 2 litre turbocharged engine is part of the Daimler AG partnership. Not the 3.0. I am happy Infiniti finally went with the route of turbocharging their motors(excluding GTR). Hopefully it meets expectations and comes with a DCT/6MT to make me switch back. If it does produce "less" horsepower likely it will be underrated from the factory. For example in the B7 S4 it produced 343 Horsepower and in the B8 chassis the supercharged motor only produced 333BHP. When put on a dyno this was proven to be highly underrated as people were getting close to crank numbers to the wheels. It could be a very similar case with Infiniti though again we don't have any numbers so this is all speculation.
I don't know for a fact that it comes from MB, that part I assumed based on their building 2.0T together in Tennessee.
Looks great! I'm excited about the turbos, MT says they expect it to be about 375 hp.

introducing a new family of 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 engines.
Under the Q60 Concept's hood is the same 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 that was first shown on the Q80 Inspiration Concept from the 2014 Paris Motor Show. According to Infiniti, the direct-injected six-pot will arrive in a production car within the next two years.
Here's info regarding the engine in the Q80 Inspiration Concept from a MT article late last year.
The Q80 Inspiration runs a brand-new 3.0-liter V-6 with twin turbos, plus a hybrid system. The V-6 makes 440 hp alone, giving an electrically boosted total of 550 hp. Performance is stated at "less than 4.0 seconds" for 0-62 mph.
If its built in Tennessee, instead of Japan as done for the previous G line, prices will be reasonable as labour costs are higher in Japan and there will be no transportation costs via ship. This will also eliminate any other importing costs involved.
Hopefully they will maintain same level of quality.
