Do people realize buying a gtr comes with maintenance they have to pay for or else value goes down and Nissan probably won't honor warranty. It's not jus buy a gtr and ur good to go. No u spend couple grand jus maintaining it whether u drive it or not

No problem, they'll do the repairs themselves by watching utube clips, save money on gas by running 87 (modern cars have knock sensors excuse) and only have liability insurance.

Waiting for newbies with their Q60 asking if they can run 87. lol

Yet this q60 is growing on me. When do you think we will see a test drive?
The 435 has 300hp, so the 300 hp version of the Q60 is what will compete against that and it should be priced a few thousands lower than that. I expect the 400hp version to be priced between the top level standard 4 series and the M4, which would make since as that is where the hp falls and I would expect the IPL version to be priced a few thousand below the M, AMG, F, etc.

Honestly I rather buy a used GTR.
Wasn't the GT-R listed as one of the most expensive cars to own, post-purchase?

If Infiniti keeps pushing the price of the Coupe north of what it is now, I will cross it off the consideration list. As stated, the luxury is nice, but being fun to drive is also high on my want list, and the Mustang GT fits that bill.
Or I stay in a QX50 and forget all about the visceral feel of a sports coupe :P

... or just wait and buy a CPO one ~2 years old for a bit over half of original sticker.

that's what i did with my G, and expect the new Q60's resale value will be similar. there is no way in hell i'd buy a Q60 new, and throw a giant pile of money out the window as i drive it off the dealer lot. seems like around here you can chop about $10k off a year-old Q60.

That pretty much means the 400hp Q60 will be at least $55K.

Honestly I rather buy a used GTR.
Good luck with that 8 year old GTR that has no warranty, and while you are out the money for the expensive maintenance in addition to your 55k/ (probably 60K), and while you drive a now "older" body style in about a year. But hey if you got the finances to do that and its worth it to you have at it, Bro.

I wish I could do that. The allure of the new car is too strong now. It's got ahold of me and it won't let go. I get a VPP deal too so that cushions the blow.

I wouldn't have a problem with a much older car being used. Like a 70s BMW, or an older Porsche. But when something is just off new, I can't handle it :P

LOL, the allure of new is hard to resist. The main reason I buy my cars new is I tend to keep them for 7+ years and I prefer being the only owner and knowing that it was broken in properly and maintained correctly! Probably part of my OCD, but oh well, lol!

i have the same OCD - i've bought 3 new cars in my life. i'm a very meticulous and preventative maintenance-type person.

saving $20,000+ on my '13 G37 vs. a '15 Q60 took care of that OCD, though.

I should mention that I also lease. Not purchase.

I think I may have a chemical dependance on new Infiniti smell. I love it.
I keep my cars clean through a level of OCD that few (outside of car circles) understand. It looks like it rolled right off the lot every day (on the inside...keeping the outside that clean is tough), even at the end of the lease.

I keep a Swiffer duster in the car, because dust is the enemy and must be crushed.

When I was driving my '07 G35 Coupe, I made a pregnant co-worker eat poutine outside the car in the parking lot, in sub-zero (C) weather. No food or drinks in my car. No sir.

And if I'm lucky, that brand-new car smell returns on rainy days when I run the AC. I have no idea why, it just comes trickling in and makes me smile like some crazed junky.

Ok, my mistake I misread. However BMW does not do a break out for 4 series sales (excluding the 4 series Grand Coupe) so even this isn't an apples to apples comparison. Making it impossible to compare the sales of the two.
