we can only hope Infiniti puts a giant honking turbo in it, so a simple flash gets it up near 400hp like the Evo. i'm not optimistic, though - that peak torque rpm suggests a small turbo.
I thought evo's torque is good after around 2400rpm. Still they are great. With 3liters and a twin turbo you have torque earlier and you have much less turbo lag.

I love evo btw just not as a daily driver.

i've been daily driving mine for 5 years. it works if your commute isn't too much - mine is 12 miles. comfy Recaro seats, auto climate control that actually WORKS (unlike the G), and great RF factory audio.

i do appreciate the 20 gallon G37 gas tank and better fuel economy - the Evo has a 14 gallon tank and i average 16-18mpg (mostly all city driving) ... have to fill up twice as often as the G37.

Would have preferred the new engine to be a Q60 exclusive.

Unlike the VQ that was also available for every car under the sun. SUV's, Crossovers, Altima, etc etc.

Personally, I prefer NA over turbo, but that's not where the industry is going and our cars are becoming dinosaurs. Time to roll with the changes.

I can only imagine the MSRP premium for the 400hp model. This will be interesting.

i just took the Evo out after it sat for a week and ... damn, forgot how fun it is to drive!

a big NA V8, turbo 4 ... i like it all. different kinds of fun.

a V6TT should be awesome. when they work out the bugs on the first two years, and the price comes down, i can has.

Agreed. The yet-to-be-seen-for-real Q60 is still loosely on my next-car list, targeted for about 4-5 years from now. And since I'll be even more older than I am now, I might not even care about the 6MT. I'm highly opinionated, but not close-minded. And I do like Nissan products.

Then again, had really high hopes about the Q50, and that didn't work out too well, IMO.

No more "Sport" package on the hybrid.

There are multiple steering racks. I believe atleast 3.

No mention of 6MT. Maybe when the coupe comes.

Nice find Chili! I dug into the hybrid specs on the page you listed and it still shows the power as 360hp which is the same as the outgoing 3.5L hybrid. Wonder if they're still using the 3.5L engine.

Nevertheless, I'm over the moon to see the 400hp V6 confirmed. What will be interesting is if both models will have the same turbos, with the lesser V6 simply tuned down.

Also want to see if the 7-speed is a DCT. Time will tell but hopefully those engines are very tunable...a la the 335i. 350 lb-ft of torque is still very respectable and it's 80-ish more than we have with the VQ37, and that torque peak happens at 1,600 rpm which should make them VERY fun to drive.

That's terrible fuel economy, I get 22mpg on a twin turbo G and that's including frequent trips to the track.

Also the hp numbers for the Q60 engine choices are too even so they must be approximations.

No, the numbers are spot on.

The 2.0T will compete with the BMW 320i

The standard 3.0T will compete with the BMW 328i

The "Red Sport" 3.0T will compete with the BMW 335i.

Well they've never had any cars with even hp numbers like 300 and 400 so I doubt they will start doing it now. Also you have your BMWs all wrong as it will compete with the 4 series, not 3 series. And one more thing - IMHO top of the line "red sport" or IPL or whatever Q60 will probably compete with M4 or at least take a slot between 435 and M4.
