[I]Here is the best news we've had all day: the production Infiniti Q60 Coupe will bear an uncanny resemblance to the concept car that previewed it earlier this year in Detroit. We know this thanks to our very first round of spy photos of the heavily camouflaged production car.
Although there are only three images to draw from, we've got a clear picture of the concept-inspired lines of this new two-door. In particular, the front and rear fascias look to draw a lot of inspiration from the concept. In front, the headlights look to be similar in shape, while the double-arch grille looks largely unchanged from what the company previewed. Perhaps the biggest change up front is around the fog lights, which look to sit in far more conventional housings. Also gone is the Q60 Concept's Formula One-inspired chin, possibly in part due to the company's (and parent Renault's) perilous position as a title sponsor for the Red Bull Racing team. The taillights reinforce the concept car inspiration, retaining a similarly svelte shape and tying in with a small trunk lid.
Also like the Q60 Concept, our spies report that a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter V6 will be on offer, likely as the range-topping engine. We'd expect the volume motor to be the Mercedes-Benz 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder found in the likes of the new Q30, as well as the CLA-, GLA-, and A-Class. It's also certainly possible that Infiniti's long-serving 3.7-liter V6 will be available in some form. [B]Whatever engines arrive, we can expect six-speed manual and seven-speed automatic transmissions to be the sole options.
Kind of figured that the 3.0 twin turbo would be the range topper! That is fine, just needs to have the horsepower and torque numbers. I could see them offering 3 engines, one to cover the 2XX range, one for the 3XX range, and the turbo to be in the 4XX. Hopefully, this will be the set up! They took forever and a day, but it seems the wait will be worth it!
Not to surprised that they can see alot of the styling from the concept in the production version, as the production version was finalized before they showed the concept. They just put some non function styling cues on the production version so they would have a concept to show. The interior from the concept looked production ready, so I am praying that is the interior, minus the quilted seats, at least for me.

The back looks like a mustang and the front looks like a Q50.
But the good news is that 6mt will still be an option. That's good to hear.
I think they should make the 6mt a limited edition and the limited edition should only be available in 6mt. They should make it rare and keeps it resale value pretty high.
Kind of like the Acura Integra Type R.
I would like to see a blind spot indicator like the Lexus IS350. Cause the G37 Coupe has a horrible blind spot. This should be standard. No DAS. Bring back Rear active steering.
If they do it right, (they had 9+ years) this should be a top contender for me when my lease is up.
The version is the spy shots appears to be the lower level model as the wheels seem kind of small. I would expect the sport or top of the line version to have bigger wheels and different front and rear appearance.
Pics courteous of Jaymillz37s link! You the man, lol! So far I like what I am seeing alot. The headlights look aggressive. The taillights look like they won't be the 4 circle anymore, which I will kind of miss, but they do look very nice and aggressive! The shape is very nice. This version appears to have different wheels and back end treatment than the earlier spy shots.
Not feeling the lower rear bumper reflectors.. I hate that look on cars. I will miss the round led tail light ring but like the look of the new tails. Doesn't look like it has the front fender flare fairing like the concept car which is a bummer, I thought that looked sexy. Looks like a sport model with bbk though. That concept car has grew on me I guess..I'm sure this one will too. Thanks for the photos.
It's as close as a functional real life daily version can be, lol. They did a good job of keeping the concept and bringing it to the real world! Now we just need some interior and numbers.

Whenever cars are heavily camouflaged they have to put on temporary reflectors since they are hiding certain design elements in order to be road legal. You won't know for sure how the final product looks until the reveal or if something is leaked.
