G37 7speed transmission reprogram
It does seem to hold the gear just slightly more when accelerating normally, which is good.
I was hoping the engine braking while coasting from 50 MPH would lessen but it's about the same as it was before.
Will try DS mode tomorrow to see how that behaves...
I had mine done last week, honestly can't see/feel much difference. Almost seems like performance is down a bit but I don't see how that's possible.

My smoother ride is still holding steady. I got stuck in rush hour traffic yesterday, and the car didn't lag up, hesitate and engine brake me to death in the stop and go traffic. Hell yes.
As for the TSB on the invoice... I don't think it says. It has a line item indicating that TSB wok was done, but it didn't have the number of the TSB in this thread next to it. It had a number containing 0s and a 9. I typed it into Google and the TSB for the squealing brakes came up... but nothing about the transmission. So I'm not sure if they typed in the wrong number or if that number on the receipt is a system number unrelated to which TSB they performed.

Close to 12K miles on my 2011 G37 Sedan (bought in Oct 2010)...went for my (second?) service, and mentioned about harsh downshift (bump from 2nd to 1st) in transmission...service sheet showed ECU reset was done and ITB 10-075 performed/applied...
Have to say there is a distinct positive difference in the 'smoothness' of the transmission...dont think I have seen a lag or any other problem in any other aspect of the transmission (its just been 150-odd miles since, though)...
Thanks to everyone on this thread for contributing detailed and helpful inputs...much happier driving my car now...

dseltz, when I brought my 2010 G37X in for a consumers Affairs complaint (the story is well documented in here), the District Manager (DM), who confirmed in the test drive with me that the quirkiness / lagging exists in the 7AT, indicated that "Infiniti is looking at another possible update - Fix, but can't promise that"....
I just purchased a new 2011 G37s a little over two weeks ago and have just under 1K miles on it. I too have noticed some jerking at lower speeds and some lag when I gas it, especially when I am at a full stop or trying to merge onto the freeway. Occasionally, I'll see the RPM jump just slightly. I just called the dealer today and mentioned this to them. They said that this is normal behavior for new cars, up to 2K miles due to the adaptive learning of the driver's habits. If after 2K miles or at my oil change I'm still having these issues, they'll take a look at it.
Are the blowing smoke up my *** to avoid dealing with the issue or is this normal?

What you experiencing is "normal" in a bad way as this happens to quite a few of us. I have 2009 G37Sx sedan and I am the lucky few that had the TSB updated and it did minimize the harsh shifting greatly (dont even notice it now). The TSB does not address the "lag" (someone correct if I am wrong). However, maybe a hypertech? See my review on it. Knowing what I know now, I personally would not apply the update.

My 2011 G37 is okay with down shift when it's going straight. The problem I have is when I am making a low speed (20-30 mph) right turn, the down shifting won't happen for up to 2 seconds with the gas half way pressed. when it does downshift, I often will see the ETC light blinking. I wonder if the down shift lag is really the engine cutting power because it's sensing tire slipping.
I'm getting better tires next week (Pilot Super Sports) and I'll see if that helps.
