G37 7speed transmission reprogram
Thanks to all of for your supportive comments. The threat of going to an attorney prompted an immediate response the day of the drive with the DM: "there is a cost to you if you go to an attorney"... I know that. I don't what to have to do that. I'm going t lose anyway: There's nothing wrong with my car...proclaimed again today at the Dealership. The tech drove it (without me) and said there's nothing wrong. So I made sure the complaint was entered in the record, took my copy of the service order, and I will continue to do battle with Consumer Affairs. Today, the car was "better"...not as hesitant as I reported during the weekend.
I really don't have the time to keep doing this. But that is what they count on. You will just go away.
I wish I bought my 07 G35X.

Its up to you what you decide im just tired of all the BS on a new car.
I'm glad I found this. My '09 has had the listed issues since I got it. I learned to live with it, but if there is a fix I certainly won't hesitate to ask them about it. The issues that I've run into are:
1) Shuddery light acceleration at low speeds,
2) Excessive braking at low speeds in stop-and-go traffic.
3) Occasional hesitant/delayed downshifting at low speeds when I need to go faster - a la while merging onto interstate traffic.
4) Occasional VERY hard downshifting, such as when I come to a rolling stop and then press the gas to make a turn. Sometimes I will get a hard *THUD* when taking off. A bit disconcerting the first time it happens.
All of this seems to be something covered under the latest TSB for the 7AT in the 09s. I will definitely bring it up at my next oil change.

loarm, go to the first pages of this thread and see the TSB IT-075 about the Shuddering and the downshift jolts you describe. See if it applicable to your car (VIN #), it may help. But read the many posts going back to the begining of this year to view the comments (including mine), about the Pros and Cons of the Reflash that the TSB refers to.
Finally got around to do the re-programming on my car and wow, what a difference. Feels like a completely different car. The acceleration/shifting are very very much improved. I am zoom zooming down the road whereas before, it felt like a slug.

It will start that way, but the shifting won't be as smooth as the miles add up.
Most Certainly Agreed. I still get that horrific LAG when braking then stepping on the gas - not always - but many times.... I'm driving a Ford Taurus - company car for a few days, V-6 engine, 6 AT....Has a little hesitation on downshifting, but no where near that terrible L A G G I N G...I'm still battling Infiniti on the issue...
I think the vast majority of us like the way the 7AT works. There's a small, very vocal group who post a very great deal about what I see as essentially buyer's remorse over having bought it. Judging from your posts, I think you drive with a fairly consistent style and will continue to be satisfied with the reflash. My car came with that rev, and although I was taken aback by the aggressive rev-matching downshifts initially, in particular, I've come to really like the trans.
If anyone in Dallas TX wants to get this ITB10-075, Sewell Infiniti can now do it.
I was in there last February and they claimed they had never heard of it, even when I gave them the ITB number. They told me the same thing again today, but I insisted with my service adviser and he was able to find it, almost apologetic afterward. They are good folks at Sewell Infiniti of Dallas.
Anyway, it was applied... and I have the printed service order to prove it. I only drove the car home, but really can't tell the difference.

I took the car into the dealer and mentioned the jolts in the low gears, and they took it in for a look. They called me later and said that there was indeed a TSB out for my car, and that they would fix it. I picked the car up two weeks ago and have put a few hundreds miles on it since then, and WOW, What a difference! I haven't had a single jolt/shudder since then. It smoothly shifts in the lower gears, and no more nauseating stop-and-go city driving.
At this point, with my driving style I haven't discovered a single downside to this reflash. It drives like a completely different car, the difference is that noticeable. And after 300 miles to adjust to my driving style, the car is still very responsive under quick acceleration in the lower gears.

Almatti,
have you given any thought to buying one the the various dash cameras on the market, and recording the audio/video of your driving, then editing the video and splicing together all the rough shifts so you have a long sequence of audio/video proof? You'd probably want to aim the camera at your dash so you can see your speed and the rpm needle.

clutch5, check my posts on the other Tranny Thread to Mudgen... Infiniti has offered an Elite Maintenance Program at no costs to me, so that I can take care of THEIR car until lease end... Again, my G's been driving better of late, very weird, but I'll take it..
