It makes a WORLD of a difference. Driving through any bad air, I can have the filter cleaned out by blasting the blower with recirculation ON for 10 seconds or so.
Update on my daughter: They are inducing my wife tomorrow a few weeks early to avoid issues from mild preeclampsia. For the few of you who might remember my earlier post about her, I have some good news. They no longer think my daughter will need surgery on her intestines as soon as she is born. They think it is polycystic kidney disorder on only one of her kidneys and her other kidney looks ok. This is good news. So the next time I talk to you all I will be a dad! Crazy!!
After almost 30 hours of labor through Monday, Eva is here and she and mom are doing well! She even likes riding in cars so I figure we are off to a good start.

I finally got a chance to pick up my new Blizzak WS-80 snow tires mounted on Drag DR-73 rims in hyper black. This should be a bit of an improvement in the snow and a little less hassle mounting and balancing them. However, the rims are EXTREMELY close to rubbing on the front calipers. I cannot even fit a fingernail between them, but I can fit a piece of paper. I took one over to the local discount tire direct and they say they are safe to run. Fingers crossed they never rub.
You could always get a pair of 2mm wheel spacers. Pretty cheap stuff for peace of mind, and you won't compromise your lugnuts with only 2-3mm. In fact, just do that and stop worrying.

I think we are on the same page. The 1st thing I thought of was 2mm spacers. I brought this up to the guys at Discount Tire Direct and he said not to do it as the wheels are not hub centric (came with rings) and the fact that Infiniti did not design the car to run with spacers. I had to stop myself from laughing and told him that Infiniti also clearly did not design to car to run with their aftermarket wheels with such close proximity to the front calipers. Dead silence from him. Haha!
Do you know a good place to get spacers for our cars? I know you run some w/ your factory wheels w/ snows. How thick are your spacers and did you change wheel studs?
I use 3mm spacers at the front with the Vossens, because the clearance over the front calipers is only 1-2mm. No extended studs. In the winter, I use 15mm spacer adapters on all four corners.
The Vossens require hub centric rings. The little 3mm spacers are the same size, and fit perfectly over the rings. The spacer adapters in the winter are hub centric by design.

Correct. The two little 3mm spacers are just aluminum plates, but the four 15mm spacers are actually spacer adapters. See, with the drop and the neg camber, the tuck on the duckfeet looks really silly, IMO. 15mm makes up the difference, and it looks pretty darn good. I could probably get away with 20mm spacers, but didn't want to be too obvious about it.
I usually do this dance on or after Thanksgiving, but since the climate has become so inconsistant, can't really say when anymore. Plus, you know, clutch problems right now. Stupid car.

I wouldn't use the word "usually", LOL. Bought the 15mm spacer adapters in October 2014 from B2AutoDesigns for $200 shipped, and I bought the pair of 3mm spacers through Amazon back in April 2014 for $29 shipped.
