The OEM handbrake is cable connected not hydraulic, you'd have to replace that cable with brake lines and a cylinder. Then you'd need to find a way to get the handbrake to power that cylinder.

Now that would be fun! Maybe I should label the levers? haha

To keep a very long story short, we couldn’t get any power out of her on the dyno last night. The moment we started touching 5k+ rpm the engine started vibrating and took a dump. It sounded like it was jammed, it wouldn’t crank properly. Car’s at the shop now, waiting on the autopsy report. Looks like I will be going with forged internals and rebuilt engine sooner than expected.

Wow, that sucks. Hopefully u don't have to build already. Almost everything done so far would have been a waste of time.

Dammit Sam. That's very disappointing to hear. But on the positive side, now you have every excuse to build this beast. And I know you are kicking yourself now saying that if you'd only done it from the start this could have been avoided and saved you some money on labor.

I know, I was hoping to start enjoying on her on the road already. Man did she look so good when everything was put back in place. Engine is being torn apart now, I just hope the crank was not damaged.

^^What he said Sam. Better to find out now than to find out while you're out enjoying it on the road. You have a nice G37 that went into Beast mode with the RB swap and now it's going to be a Super Beast with forged internals! lol

Thanks guy. The crankshaft bearings were shot and in turn damaged the crankshaft. Got another block which we will be properly rebuilding this time. CP Pistons & Manley H-Beam rods coming soon
