I can't see lowering mine either. I do plan on getting 19" wheels though.

btw, I had a '95 Maxima with minor mods. Stillen strut tower brace and intake. Sold it at 140k miles and got a 2006 Accord Hybrid, which was a mistake.
Ooooo I was obsessed with accord hybrids at one point, and swore I was going to own one.....

I bet that happens more often than we think.

Yes. Sold it to another member on the Org who's also local to Rochester. We're in touch, and he's exceedingly happy with it, which in turn makes me very happy knowing I paid it forward with a good car and a fair price to a decent guy. In fact, today (this very day ), he's installing a set of Tein SS Coilovers on the Maxima, which was always one of my biggest regrets. The Tokico Blues were great struts, but they're a million miles from what you get with coilovers.

I don't measure it separately, I've just been watching the computer's average, which is starting to level off at 18.8 mpg, which absolutely sucks compared to my 25-28 mpg Maxima. Oh well. I can deal with it.

That's the plan. To take what I learned from the Maxima, and carry it though with this car. To lightly modify it year over year, and keep it for another 8 to 10 years (knock on wood).

The stock low rolling resistance tires were truly awful.
odd choice in tires, given what *I think* they were trying to do with the vehicle.

I think that's the key issue. The engineers didn't know what they wanted the car to be. Half performance / half economy just didn't work...

unfortunately that seems like most hondas these days (save maybe the CR-V and Fit).

Crosstour = prime example.

An acerbic, politically progressive, suburban family man with chronic headaches?

That's a low bar, but OK.

Since you bumped this intro thread... here's a wrap up of some small visual mods since purchasing the car, starting with Magnaflow exhaust tips and a flat-black vinyl wrap on the rear bumper:

And this is an amber window tint on the fog lenses:

I like the fogs. Would be curious what theyd look like if you had the headlights blacked out with black matte finish.

But I definitely like the 3k for the fogs

Hey Matt. I'm thinking that would look to the right side of awesome. Particularly after I get around to having the grille center-slats painted gloss black to mimic the OEM Midnight Grille... which is something I'm putting off until next Spring.

This Xmas my wife is getting me a Cusco FSTB. (I haven't told her yet that this is what she's going to surprise me with, LOL!)

Next year's mod... I keep flip-flopping like a MA politician between Hotchkis sways or Berk HFC's. Have no idea which way the wind will be blowing, but those are the next two mods, one after the other.
