Finally got my wheels on...a little further out than I was expecting but maybe it won't be so bad on some eibachs. Anyway...here is the teaser until I can get some actual photos taken. Took these with my cel earlier

Yup definitely needs some low and some camber. Good start though

 

Should be ok w/ a deeper drop, I think I'd plan to drop on coilovers, they will still poke a fair amount on Eibachs. Get some Tein Basis Z coilovers (only cost about $200 more than Eibachs) and drop to zero fender gap and they should tuck well. You'd also need a rear camber/toe kit.

Nice job JB, looks like you have that height dialed in well on the KSports and wheel/tire fit looks good. Did you end up w/ 245s or 255s?

I would rather not camber but this pokes so much I gotta see how I feel.

I really don't want to go that deep into suspension. I saw pics of people running the same specs (not sure about the tires) and it didn't poke out as much so I'm not sure what the deal is there. I'll figure it out eventually I guess.

 

You could get the full F&R camber kits and just add camber to the point where the upper wheel edge is at the fender, this will probably require about -3.5 give or take. Understand you not wanting to dump it, I'm at zero gap w/ my sedan (26.25" to the upper fender arcs) and have found it perfect for daily driving with very few issues w/ scraping, just got to take it slow every now & then.
I was dropped inside the fender a bit on deep springs and that wasn't fun at all.

 

Thanks! I chose the 245s to start but I am still considering the 255s for my next set. I installed the coils myself after calling several shops around here and not being satisfied with the prices or the inexperience I could here in their voices. I am still dialing in the KSports to get the damper settings to the best possible ride. I've learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of this project.

Always nice to DIY those kind of installs, much better to know firsthand how your parts are assembled as long as you have the time, patience, & tools.

Wonder if I get a set of eibachs and run a mild camber if that will help. I mean maybe the drop with the bachs will be enough to remove the gap. The tires seem chunky even though they are not much bigger than stock...actually they are the same sidewall size in the rear

 

Tires should tuck about a 1/3" for every inch that you lower it IIRC, so w/ some extra camber you should get it much better at the fender.

 

Sh*t! That's pretty wide up front, amazed they fit. Maybe I should look at 10's all the way around instead of 9.5". How's the steering feel? Does it do a lot of tramlining while cruising down the highway (follow the ruts)? I agree, once you lower the car, they'll tuck a bit and look a whole lot better. I swore I wouldn't go with any more outward poke on my car out front. Til I lowered it a bit on coilovers. Not even a full inch and it made quite a change.

 

^^^Yeah they are wide as ****. In hind sight I should have gone with 10" wide but whats done is done. So far everything feels the same as it did before. No rut pulling, no sluggish steering, and I THINK I can full lock without any issues...haven't tried it yet though. The more I look at it the more I am getting used the poke. So I think on a simple drop I'll be happy with the look.
