The OFFICIAL "I have a wheel offset / tire fitment question!" thread
So you've got a few options.

Any of you guys running20x9 +32 20x10.5 +45 (Sedan) check inside clearance of wheels to springs/shocks on how much room you have? I know camber settings will affect this but Im assuming most are running "factory specs" Sorry if this has been asked before...
Any idea how close? If it's less than 3-4mm that makes me a little nervous
AutoAnything has a promo code right now for 20% off so the SSR GTV03's come to $1338 for a set of staggered 18". Seem like a pretty good deal.
Only downside is that the front pair aren't in stock and will take 2-3 weeks to get here, although with the 9 inches of snow we just got here in south-central PA they'd just be sitting in the garage anyway

Thanks! Just wanted confirmation on that. That way I have an idea as far as camber/offset (how low) on a x10.5 without modding any of the fenders.
Offset help please!
Hey guys, I'm looking to get a set of 20" Avant Garde M510s. I'll be lowering my G37 coupe with Eibach Pro springs bc I don't want much of a drop. I'd really love to get 20x10 all the way around, but I'm told I'd need stretch, camber and all that jazz and I don't want to deal with that, so I think I have to go staggered 20x10 & 20x8.5.
Can anyone help me with what offsets I should get so that my wheels will fit properly and won't need any camber or stretched tires? I want the best ride quality that I can get out of this.
Thanks for any help!!!

So I'm back on the 19in train after an unsuccessful search for an 18in wheel I like that will clear the BBK and is in stock anywhere.
Concerning the tire size on the IPL wheels, as far as I could find they are 8.5 F and 9.0 R with an OEM tire of 225/45 F and 245/40 R. Could I go up to a 265/40 on the rear and a 235/45 on the front?
I'd like a little more sidewall height to eat up some fender gap on my unlowered rwd S sedan and it wouldn't be as a severe of a jump as trying a 275/40 on the rears and dealing with a tire size difference over 3% from OEM, and it possibly looking way to big overall.
If all my numbers are right the tire sizes above would only be a .02% difference from each other (F+R) and the fronts would be a difference of +1.71% (+.47" total diamater) from the OEM 18in duckfeet fronts, and the rears would be a difference of +2.43% (+.67" total diameter) from the OEM 18in. That seems less drastic than what I was trying before with 275/40 and 245/45 and it being over 3% from OEM.
Does that seem right (and a reasonable idea)?
Thanks for the help!

You might look into a minimal drop such as the one the OP is planning in this thread, might keep an eye on his progress. Would probably work out OK and you could retain more common tire sizing

Here's a template you can send the vendor if they can't verify clearance

On paper it will work OK, just might have a tough time finding the tires you want in those sizes. I haven't checked around but I don't think they're real common sizes, especially the 235/45/19

I think I might go with the 19s for now and see if I can live with the gap. BTW, there's no problem putting 275s on the IPL rears?
From what I could find the RWD S is the same height as the Journey RWD but the X is a bit higher? I've seen some Sports with 19s and unlowerd and the gap looked fine, but on the X unlowered not so much.
Either way, will post pics when everything is finished.
Thanks so much for your help.

Yea, you're right. I looked for tires and the only summer performance options in the 235/45/19 were Continental Contisport P5s or Pirelli P Zero Rosso. Both were pretty steep and neither got great reviews from what I could find. The 265s for the back were easy to find but that's of no help if I can't find the fronts.

Good offsets for running wider tires on 8.5/10" stagger would be a +25 front on 245/35/20 and +35 back running 285/30/20. But you must verify BBK clearance in front if you have the big Akebono brkaes or are planning to get them.

Wow, thanks a lot man!! This should definitely help me! Is there any way to go 20x10 all the way around if i'm going eibach pro springs and not wanting to stretch tires or have camber? If so, what offsets and tires should I run? Thank you again for your help! BTW i do have the large brakes...

you'll be close w/ a 245 tire but still OK.
