Strut spacer help...
I am looking into getting Tanabe NF210s for my coupe and only installing the front springs which would give 1" drop. The 1" drop will put me close to needing a camber kit up front. I want to add a 1/4" spacer on top of the strut will the Tanabe springs to give a total drop of 3/4". The 3/4" drop will keep the car well in specs to avoid any camber kits. The spacer looks something like this...





Can anybody help or know if they make these for the G37???

I checked the threads on my stock pillow mounts and I have approximately 1/2" of stud on top of the nut so take away 1/4" I will still have more than enough engagement of the nut. I don't see any limitations besides a spacer not already fabricated. If nobody can help then I will machine my own spacer when I disassemble the strut to lower the car. Somebody chime in if they can help...
I plan to use 1/4" SS 316 or 304 then turn it out. I think you could get away with delrin or aluminum but I prefer stainless but would opt for aluminum depending on plate availability/price.

If you end up doing this I'd get an extra set of the strut gaskets so you'd have no areas w/ metal on metal, that's an area notorious for noises.
those 3d printers are amazing and would be worth a look, the material in those pics you showed would probably suffice.
Yeah I was definitely planning on using extra strut gaskets so there would be no metal to metal contact. I will look into the 3D printers but the shop I work in has every machining equipment needed to turn this out quick and best part free! Also the material should be free too as I could locate some from our scrap pile or some leftover stock. I would have to draw it up for my machinist friend to turn out but that will be easy. Does anybody know the thickness of the strut gasket?

the gasket should only be like 1mm thin. Just wondering... are you just raising the front and not the back? Not sure if you know already but the back would need to mod a piece coil insulator

11G37S, as far as a template for the strut spacer, all you would need to do is trace that strut gasket
Thanks for the gasket info! I plan to raise the front 1/4" after I install the 1" Tanabe NF210 front springs so the total drop would be 3/4" from stock height. The back will be lowered 1/4" so estimated front and rear fender heights would be:Stock Front - 28 1/2"
Stock Rear - 27 5/8" (full tank of gas, empty 28 1/8")
Tanabe NF 210 fronts with strut spacer - 27 3/4"
Stock rear spring with 1/4" cut on spring mount - 27 3/8" (full tank of gas)
This combination would be give a little rake to the front but still almost level and keep both front and rear well within stock alignment specs.

I pulled my beat up gasket out just for you. This is by no means accurate but at least you get an idea. Also I would like to correct myself on the thickness of the gasket. It varies from 0.3 to 0.4 mm instead of 1mm that I've stated. I put a dime for reference because I don't have a ruler...
