Guess I can live vicariously through your pics
There's about 10 Gs where I'm at, and only 2 others have anything more than tint

Have a blast for the rest of us
dang man sorry to hear that. I'll try to take a good amount of pics when we go so you can enjoy something atleast. Lol hopefully it wont feel like a tease.
hey guys, i need some help. since i dont want to stretch and poke, i knew this thread would be the right place. i have 09 X sedan that i'd like to get some 19" shoes for. problem is, i have NO idea how to calculate what i need in terms of width, spacers, lowering the car etc. i'd like 19" wheels with the thickest tire profile possible while also lowering the car on swift springs. and help would be appreciated. and if you even feel compelled to just give me the exact specs that would work that would be awesome.
thanks guys

Let's first start with what's your budget? Personally I don't go cheap for wheels. Mine are made to order and usually start off around $4k for a forged set. However there are plenty of great wheels starting in the $2k range. I avoid all knock-offs. Also need to know if you have a sport model or plans to have a big brake kit. Plenty of Sedan X's running 19's. Need to read through this thread to get yourself some ideas.

thanks again for the help!
thanks for the help robert! i don't have a sport, just the journey model. in terms of wheels, i wanted to get the coupe 19's or the IPL 19's. i like the way they look. maybe vossen cv4 way down the line once i have enough saved. i would consider getting a big brake kit, but not for a while. i've read through the thread before, but i have no idea how to decipher what the specs mean, lol.
thanks again for the help!

Just use your current wheels/tires and start playing w/ the numbers
17x7.5" +45 should be your stock size w/ 225/55/17 tires
Coupe 19s are 19x8.5 +43 225/45/19 Front
19x9 +45 245/40/19 Rear
You should be able to run 245 fronts 275 rears w/ the 19" coupe wheels
Just run the numbers in the calculator to find the diameters that will work best.
You want to keep your new diameters within +/- 3% of your original tires' diameter, and you want your front diameter to be within 3% +/- you rear diameter.
Obviously if you can get them as close to identical w/ your oem that would be best, and there should be enough tire combos that you can get much closer than 3%. Most AWD setups I've seen are close to 1% difference.
You also want to look how much your new tire/wheel setup will stick out from where you are now & the calculator will show you. When you drop your vehicle your wheels will naturally tuck into the wheel well from added camber, somewhere in the range of 5mm w/ a drop like swifts. So if you're 5mm out from where you want to be when at stock height you'll be real good when you lower it.
HTHs
*Just ran the numbers and here's what comes up, should work well for your lowered X
245/40/19 will extend out 14.7mm and be only -0.10% difference in diameter
275/35/19 will extend out 19.05mm and be -0.62%
Difference between new F&R diameters would be .52%
So these tire specs would be golden

Hey Im new to here, been surfing this site for close to a month now. I am a proud owner of 2 recently bought G37's. His and hers for me and the wifey...the wifes car is 10 sedan journey that i'm think of putting some 19.5 +25 245/40 all the way around. Will prob leave stock height since I know she wont let me do much to her car... I apologize in advance as Ive tried using the calculator and not sure if i'm reading it right but will there be any issues with these fitting or rubbing. I dont plan or want to add a camber kit...thanks in advance oh was curious if I could go 245/45 by chance to give her that extra cushion????

Inner Clearance:
0.95mm more
Outer Position:
extend by 39.05mm
Diameter difference:
-0.03" (-0.10%)
Your new diameter is perfect, 39mm extended out from your current wheel/tire might be a tough fit, especially stock height. Take a straight edge and measure out from your current setup for confirmation. Offsets in the mid to high thirties might work out better for a square setup.
I couldn't confirm the rim size & width based on your post so I just used the 9x19".
