Um, i can kind of see where that is, but can you get a shot with the connections shown at both ends? they're the part that will affect this clearance.

^^^ guys have you found a fix for this other than temporary wrap fixes? Is it actually a design flaw or install error/adjustment?
I am going to install mine tonight so want to be prepared as to what needs to be adjusted carefully so that I don't have this issue... Man am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it goes smooth on mine. I will be mating it with stock cats.
Any info is much appreciated people.
Cheers !!!

It's not an install issue. If it'll affect you there's no permanent fix as of now. According to Tony there's some variability in where the engine sits from Infiniti which is why some of us have the issue and others not. Tony has some flanges that act like spacers that may fix the issue. I haven't received mine yet so I dunno but it did not fix it for another member.

Completely random question....
The ones who are having this clearance issue, did you guys ever have a warranty work done on the engine or the tranny? Or did you ever get into an accident?

You should be able to rotate the mid pipes to change the tip location.

Guys with the cross member issue..... The flanges do not work .. I installed mine and instead of resting on the cross member it gives it just a little clearance .. Maybe a 1/4 of a inch .. Header wrap is back on ... This exhaust is awesome but the y- pipe needs to be redesigned for more clearance ...

At the shop right now Getting the exhaust installed... Couple of things
1. The crossmember issue happened in my case as well.. Only fix.. Torch it and put a dent... Clearance is all good now.
2. My canisters have the lettering facing down how it's supposed to be for both.. Maybe he realized and fixed this issue. Cant imagine installing it the wrong way as the hangers match both sides.
3. 5" tips are too big so lowering the whole exhaust a bit so that it doesn't rub against the bumper and melt the **** out of it.

It's too sad that I had to put a dent in the crossmember.. Now my concern is if it jeopardizes the integrity of it? Need some advice...
