My hiss pretty much disappeared as the system carboned up.

drone went away!
but now I can hear the rattling from the pass Y pip hitting the trans crossmember like others were having. Took a look and its literally right up sitting against it. Looks like the y pipe was bent too early and now hits the crossmember.
Looks like I'll have to patch it up with some wrap like others have been doing. :/
only other option i could think of is making a small dent in the crossmember.

Finally had the chance to play with the exhaust and rotate it. Was able to get it slightly higher. But it still hangs pretty low. The V Band Clamps are what keep hitting because they make it lower by almost a 1/2 inch. :/

What sent the drone away?

With the v-bands, i think i mentioned earlier, that they can hold together and not leak, but still not be fully coupled, this can lead to them hanging down more so, even though they look straight and fully mated. Try undoing a few, really pushing up on them hard and clamping them shut again.

I'm having the issue with the Y-pipe smacking the trans or the crossmember..haven't checked it out yet. i ordered the RHFC from FI, waiting on them to arrive from the group buy with 1CleanG.

If I wrap it with header tape/wrap, will i still hear/feel it knocking, just more muffled b/c of the wrap?

The header wrap does fix the issue but that's more money u have to spend for the wrap .. If other exhaust companies can design a exhaust that don't have that issue motordyne should be able to as well .. For 1385.00 there should be no fitment issue .. This should be a warranty issue ..

But how do you explain that I have at least 1/2" to 3/4" clearance in that area on the exact same car (08 G Coupe 6MT)?

It seems like half of the peeps that received this exhaust does not have this issue .. But , the other half does .. I have tried everything to fix it an gave up .. It shouldn't be like that ..
