One of the vendors just got back to me and says that the issue is fixed and now comes with the revised XYZ pipe. I emailed Tony also to verify.

Fits my 08 just fine. I'm not sure why some people's fit and some don't. Is it a production issue or an installation issue? None of us know.

A question that comes into my mind is this: Do people having clearance issues have this installed with OEM cats or aftermarket cats or test pipes? Is there any pattern?

So he received a different pipe and it sits in the same place? sounds like it's not a different pipe.

I'm starting to wonder if its an installation issue. Huwee's rattle is gone after we swapped it out for the newer pipe..

Right, others have fixed it with the different pipe, seems highly unlikely that the same problem would exist when fitted correct from the pictures i've seen.

Then there are those of us who never had any issue in the first place and never needed any revised part.

Just wanted to quickly update this thread esp for all those who are waiting for the revised y-pipe and are still having issues with the recent revision ....

Hi,

Yes, we did a short run of Y pipes with 1/2" additional clearance but there
was one person who still needed more clearance so we are now producing
another with a total of 1.25" of additional clearance. It will be ready in
about 30 days.
It seems there is a lot of variation in the way some of the transmissions
are designed in the G37. So we are putting in even more clearance.

Would you like to get back with me in 30 days?

Thank you,
Tony Colette

Customer service at its best ... i have NEVER ever received such good service from any of the aftermarket companies ... including some "major" ones ((won't pick names but you can guess))

Hello need help

I bought a used motordyne exhaust.
It was on a non IPL with 5 in tips.
The tips look like they were touching on that car . On my ipl rear bumper not only do they touch but theyre so close the push the bumper up.
Ive been reading with 5in tips spacers are needed.
Can someone show me a pic of the spacers and where they install??? Help i do not want to melt my ipl rear!
