New Motordyne Shockwave E370
You shouldn't have to lower te exhaust .. It is low already .. The tips have a lot of adjustment in them .. This cross member issue really bugs me . I have had 5 other exhaust in this car and never had a issue with a y - pipe .. Hopefully Tony will fix this and warranty it out ..
^^^ I totally agree with you on the crossmember part man.. Every hit of that hammer was pissing me off more especially when I have spent so much on this exhaust.. Hope he replaces it with the redesigned version and warranty it out for us.. Am still surprised that not everyone had this issue.
Bending the crossmember wouldn't have really messed up its strength or anything right?
Also .. Why am I the first and the only one whose lettering on the canisters are bang on? Should consider myself lucky in that.. Lol

My Canisters are fine as well .. In regards to the crossmember ... It does weaken it wince you start bending and basically ruining it so that a y-pipe can fit .. 1385.00 us a lot of money to spend tO do this ..
Well the guy who installed my exhaust has assured me quite a few times that it doesn't really affect the strength of it since it is a heavy chunk of steel ... moreover the rubber bushings will wear out before anything happens ... The bend is at a good distance from the mounting holes so its like something hit it hard while driving ... I have left Tony a voicemail in regards to this so am waiting for his call. Will update here once i do ..
Anyways so the exhaust is on and so is my Takeda intake and mannnnnn o mannnn this thing is saxxxxx ... i can't stop praising about the quality of sound this exhaust makes ... simply amazing
BTW ... i was able to adjust the 5" tips without lowering the exhaust
Am definitely not in favour of bending the crossmember and i hope there's no safety risk to it ...

^^^ yeah i know i shouldn't ... but am kind of a guy even after being a fan of stillen intakes i went with Takeda cause of the friggin dremel shiet ... I hate doing such work to the car.. that's what is killing me right now that i spend 1549 CAD at the door to "EXPECT" a perfect exhaust but i guess the old saying is always true no matter how much you spend ... aftermarket parts will never fit like factory ... so maybe am thinking too much, i accept but i would love to see Motordyne respond to this issue and address it as to what it is and what can be done to fix it ... I have full faith in Tony that he stands behind his products ... the TDX i had on my G was a pleasant experience for me !!
The crossmember is bent slightly just to get enough clearance ... since that part of the Y-Pipe is before the flex portion, a tad bit of clearance would do the trick since technically, the pipe shouldn't move there at all ...
Here's a picture of the gap and the dent ... I would say to the ppl who are having this issue just do it for now. Once Tony addresses this issue and if we DO get a revised version then we can always put in a new crossmember if that helps one's peace of mind. ANy scrap yard would have it am sure ...

haha personally I would've holded off on denting the crossmember. But ya just hoping eventually Tony will sort it out and get a redesigned Y pip and hopefully warranty it.

And as for the AK diffuser. I installed mine with the AK V2 and managed to get it to clear just with a small gap with the 5" tips. Granted, my exhaust hangs even lower than it normally would but I was able to get it to clear. Definitely need to use the spacers. You're gonna need to play around with it for awhile.

BTW.. Minus the fitment issues, I have to say that Tony's a genius.. What an exhaust seriously.. Whoever has seen it couldn't stop complimenting on the sound, welds, v-bands and the overall quality ... He did it once again.. Don't miss my G35's note anymore... Woohoooo
Is any of you getting the gargle/air blocking sound (don't exactly know how to describe it) between shifts.. You know when the RPM drops there is like a burble sound and you even get it while revving at low rpms
