You don't have to lift up the cowling against the windshield, that's not where it goes.
Take off the battery area lid. Then remove the 5 push-clips that hold the area together and lift the plastic trim out of the way. If you're facing the battery from the front of the car, this bracket goes at about 4:00. There are two holes one over the other on the curvy sheet metal, that's where this bracket clips into place. There another one on the brake side, if you're looking for an example and that one is still there. With the bracket in place, one of those five push clips has a place to go, and gives just enough structural integrity so the whole thing stays in place without flopping around.
Now to be honest not all parts were ordered on cyber Monday, some were purchased over the summer. Still a decent amount of parts to put on when the weather permits.

Quite the haul haha.
You will like the XB fog lights, I have had them for a couple years and they have a really cool lens.
I too ordered a few items for Black Friday . Since I've decided to keep the G 2-3 more years decided to splurge a little. Tried to buy an OEM front lip but damn they are crazy expensive.
New Headlights Lens's
Klearz Clear headlight side marker
Android Auto/Carplay Unit (I'll do a small write up if all goes well)
Black Front Grill
Paint correction (Rupes Yellow with Sonnax Perfect Finish)
4336459[/url]]Yellow tint is a pretty common thing with fogs, I'm not sure if for looks or function or both.
Technically, more function than fashion. The yellow, "warmer" light (3000-4500K) penetrates better in adverse conditions (rain, snow, fog) whereas the brighter "cooler" (6500K+) light output becomes more reflective in said conditions.
Then there are those who think they look "cool" (pun intended).

I have yellow fogs. I have them for looks during the day (I leave them off day and night). However, a couple weeks ago we had some heavy fog and I was glad I had them. They really pierced through and allowed me to see the road better.
I choose the yellow film for the fog lights in attempt to help with contrast plus I really like the "JDM" look it gives - my 1995 S14 had yellow fogs from the factory. Unfortunately a set of Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs are too big for the factory fog position. However, they are excellent on my truck...Yes that picture is just the fogs on my truck, almost don't need the low beams.

good feedback. I’m always looking for subtle ways to modernize the car. I was in dense fog yesterday with my sons CRV during rush hour and that was not pleasant. The automatic headlights work against you in that weather.
Familiar with the slight mismatch between the tail light lens and the reverse light lens. So expecting the difference to be observable in-person, but I’m also kinda thinking that buying the full set together has a sliver of promise that things match?
If they don’t, I’ll be able to live with it

How easy were they to install? Looks like you opted out of the yellow protective film. Agree that the lens looks really cool/modern.
I just like the look of white light. Morimoto put a correctly shaped lens to project the light well.
They just screw in behind the bumper, had my shop put them on. I believe you just need to remove the splash shield underneath and then the wheel well plastics to get to them.

The drivers side you can just go through the fender liner with plenty of space. At least for the IPL, the passenger side I needed to get on the ground and reach underneath through the fender liner to get access with an electric rachet because the windshield washer tank is in the way. Had to unscrew a few screws to pull the bumper back to have enough room. Already have the bulb installed when installing the lamp.
