5k is a good middle number, might even be able to go longer if you test at 5k.

Gotcha, the slight viscosity difference made me think it was a different oil.

Swapped my summer tires on and gave the interior a good clean up and dressing. Probably my last summer with the G after 8 years.

[QUOTE=thescreensavers;4322151]now we need an engine bay shot I am a fan of less polished metal!

Here you go. Yes, I wanted them to match the car lol I’m not sure how I feel about the red hoses, but they came with the intake as I bought it used.

what’s the next car, Epiphany?

Engine bay looks good. It would benefit from a gunmetal oil dipstick cover. You'll also burn your hand on it at some point but probably worth it?

I'm all over the place right now, haven't actually driven anything yet because once I go driving then I'll get too emotional on deciding what I want. Currently thinking: 2018+ TLX, 2018+ Q50, 2020+ CX-5, 2018+ Cherokee Trailhawk, 2017+ RDX, and 2017+ Ridgeline are currently contenders. Ridgeline is a bit big and might be questionable for my parking spot in our parkade for my condo.

I think that looks really good! Love the matte black finish on the inakes. And while not a fan of colored hoses, it's just enough red for a splash of sharp contrast. I also like how you branded the FSTB with INFINITI, looks almost OEM. And the blank plate for the missing Fuji... clever.

Kind of odd how you cut the black surround off the engine cover, but creative.

You know what would add to this? Some SS bolts with black fender washers.

Very impressed with how how the matte gray/charcoal looks on the intakes. Number 1 supporter of the engine cover hacking. The red hoses give it just the right accent however it draws the attention to that area which begs to be cleaned up.

Red PCV hoses look good, way better than the red post maf tubes I have ugh hah. The Intake looks awesome! Might want to look at that Power steering fluid when you can, looks dark.

Are those Z1 PCV hoses or some other brand? They look like they might fit my retrofitted G35 manifold better than the OEM G37 hoses.

I saw somebody else with the same thing done and liked how it looked. Might have been one you. I can also get the engine cover off without removing the strut brace lol.

Mike, these are Z1 hoses. I also have the retrofitted G35HR manifold and they fit maybe a little better than the stock hoses. I can PM you some better pictures if needed.

Thanks Rochester. I am going with an OEM+ look. Trying not to be too flashy but still look aggressive.

Thanks thescreensavers. If I could get rid of the two ugly revivors for the PS and coolant I would be extremely satisfied with my engine bay. Good call with the power steering fluid, still not as dark as my engine oil... LOL

Chrome delete is next, blacked out mesh grill and eBay carbon trunk spoiler.

I've cut 3 just from seeing yours.

On folks defense, it's so hard to find one with an intact FUJI that many choose not to.

Possibly that they dont want their OCD triggered by all of the wiring which will be visible.

Nothing a wiretuck wont fix

This.

I remember when painting the engine cover, carefully going through the edges with flat black paint and a super tiny model painter's brush in order to make a straight line.

Sometimes the best detail is what you don't see.

I spent so much time on mine. Then the FUJI decided it doesn't want to be the only mountain in Florida so it exited the bay

Well not so much today, but I put on the BBK and the stainless steel lines a few days ago. The side profile pic was from today.

Im rokin the blue (I finally got a new phone, need to take some proper photos)

Man, I was going through old photos, found this before and after comparison I did a while back. Don't even remember the car being stock lol. Im sure I probably posted it at some point. Nothing crazy going on anymore, just getting some new summer tires this year and maybe, BIG MAYBE, Konig Hypergrams in matte grey, but BIIIIIG maybe since I have a watch problem and may have had a bit too much fun in that field.
