I got the lip used, but the previous owner never painted it so it was just primer. I used plastic filler on some of the problem spots, sanded it down, primed, and did 2 coats of black and 5 coats of epoxy laquer clear. I didn't go with 2k as the flex in this part could crack it eventually. I did 5 wet coats so I can always polish it and so it can stand up to front debris. My old grille was painted this way and it still looks great after 4 years.
I don't have the lower grille because I didn't feel like paying that much either. I just made my own because I'm cheap. Same with the foglight bezels.
Awesome - thanks for the follow-up. Sounds like you were able to lock in this upgrade for quite the discount! Props to you - it looks fantastic. I hope to be there soon (Sport bumper & lip installed), possibly by the end of this year.
How much did you pay a pro to do the steering wheel/how did you find one? I'm considering the exact same thing, but don't really know where to start
There's a local place that does body work and windshield repair and replacement, they're cool. I saw they were offering the headlight restoration service (for about two hundred) and I took the car in to have that done, and while I was there I asked if they could do my steering wheel for me. They said they'd recommend I take it to this upholstery place they work with, and they agreed to handle that for me if I left the car with them when I did the headlights. All told I was without the car for three days, and it cost about $700, including the headlights. The steering wheel wrap was a kit I bought on Amazon, which took nearly a month to get to me (slow boat from China I guess).
I went by the upholstery place about a week after I got the car back, to tell them I really appreciated their work and thank them. I met the guy who did the work, and he said he definitely underestimated the amount of time it would take. He said if another customer came in and asked for the service, he'd charge a few hundred more then he charged me.

Cleaned her up today. Just had my exhaust worked on this week too, after 3 years I'm finally content with the set up - although I might upsize the Borla's in the future.
I went to go start it on Saturday morning and the clutch pedal fell to the floor. I'll be spending some time looking at it later today and figuring out how I want to fix it.

Sucks, to be sure. But you are so-o-o lucky this happened at home, and not in traffic somewhere.
I swear, seems like CSC failure is inevitable with these cars. Sadly, whether you go with an aftermarket solution that solves the problem for good, or an OEM replacement, either way the work comes down to a full day's labor on the lift, added to the cost of parts. And then there's towing, which is always a b1tch.
In the middle of installing Swift Sport springs. Quick question if anybody knows. Took old springs off coilover and installed new spring on coilover. Found that the torque spec for the top hat but is 44 ft-lb. Except that thing just keeps spinning. I'm not using an impact, so just using a rachet. Am I missing something? Should it eventually get harder and torque down? This the nut that would accessible from under the hood.
