Excuse the dirty car. Been trying to focusing on the mechanical issues lately. Will ceramic coat her eventually.
those have to be some heavy wheels

On another note, a better pic of the undertray. Pardon the dirt, it's been dusty and lots of spotted rain.
What's the additional cutout in the lower grill for?

I wondered abt it too and weighed them then subtracted the tire weight. Came out to be 30-31 lbs. Not bad at all for 20s

That's bad considering technology today.

Yeah, I was just wondering how a 31 pound wheel is "not bad at all". What wheels again?

Wait, I just looked. Deepblue, I don't get the appeal. Are you thinking of new wheels?

I can answer both questions in a way that makes sense to me

My stock 2015 civic si 18s are 29 lbs. stock type r 20s are 28lbs. I expected my wheels to be 40lbs each considering they are optional fx35 wheels. so 31 is a pleasant surprise relatively speaking. I also think my G is fast enough as is for me.

As for appeal, I really like how they look in person and pictures may not do them justice. They have a soft look with rounded edges that match the shape of the G well. That’s also why I like the 09 sport bumper better - simpler and softer looking.

A lot of aftermarket wheels have sharp edges that make the car more aggressive. I like more blending in while still being pleasant to my eyes.

Welp, I may not agree, but I respect the rationale. Thanks.

Got a new exhaust system put in today. Vibrant 1790 resonators with Tanabe Medalion mufflers. I’ll try and get a sound clip on soon.

Obviously hasn’t gone through the break in period yet but I’m liking my decision already. Looks way better than stock as well.

Atl3128, i wouldn’t call it custom, just different resonators welded in and different mufflers clamped on.

Technically you could call it a custom catback if you wanted to.
