I thought it was going to be slight residue at most. The Mishimoto thread and their $400 catch can set-up got me looking into making my own and I found their findings a bit...extreme; so I decided to rig up my own set-up. Again, very surprised this amount is getting recycled back through the intake, throttle bodies, intake mani., etc. and wish I would've made it sooner.
Im running the can youre referring to. Although I got it for $400 cheaper lol (free). The fittings are all -AN10 while our PCV lines are 3/8" which i think is close to -8AN. Had to get reducers and create this bit of monstrosity. have some fittings on the way that go from m20x1.5 to -8AN and going to run all new 3/8" lines without connectors or reducers.

The way mine is set up mainly only works with the motordyne m370 intake manifold. It's just tying it into the line that tees into the PCV line that used to go into the stock manifold. Need some 3/8" fuel hose line. That's really it.
I might take some photos once the rest of my proper fittings arrive and I re-run the lines, and make a diy post. Just waiting for my new phone to come so my pics aren't blurry anymore.
Mine are paired with the OEM manifold. Just a set of Ebay catch cans, power steering hose (3/8) and zip ties. Brackets came with the cans and I attached them using the stock airbox mounting points (I have Stillen CAIs). It's a crude set-up but it works. I'll doctor it up when I get a little inspiration. Thats the funny thing, I have a professional camera set up I use for work with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. I just always forget to bring it whenever I start doing stuff to the car. Huge case and everything. Not exactly a "capture the spur of the moment" camera.
New starter.
New serpentine belt.
New lower power steering hose (because leak)
Power Steering fluid drain & fill.
Transmission gear oil drain & fill.
About to tip over 40k miles. Sucks that the OEM starter went, but these things happen.
Nice to have the car back again. It's been sitting dead in my garage for 5 weeks.
Too bad you couldn't have done some of that work yourself. That probably pushes some of your other mods on the list back further.Glad you got the G back on the road before your winter wheels come out.
