I think i was influenced by the overall dislike of the stock rims on this forum and the fact they are referred to as duckfeet that i considered aftrrmarket wheels for a while but wasnt sure what would look better on blue slate. Maybe they have aged well or something but i actually get compliments on them and the finish looks good on my color car. I actuality like them now over most wheels I've seen and think they look classy and sporty with the drop

I also noticed that all of your instrument cluster lights for your RPM gauge are still working. I've lost 2 different backlighting zones behind the RPM gauge in the past year or so and was wondering if anyone else on here has had this some issue?
Yeah, happened to me a few days ago. Kind of annoying

While 18" web-spoked wheels are alright, Nissan/Infiniti has some great options that came on other models (GTR, G coupe, 370Z, etc.). Think there are plenty of OEM options that suit the G sedan really well. Granted I've got a major bias...

^ Case in point.... Vert wheels fit really well with no spacers and they look really good on the sedan.

New brake pads and hardware in. Old ones were still not all that worn, but some unevenness and a few of the pads were stuck pretty badly. Did a light surface sanding on the rotors with 180 grit. Rotors will need replacing next pad change 100%. A few grooves. The cheap ebay piston spreader worked really well despite getting maxed out on the front brakes, still did its job. I imagine without the rotor in the way, it can press all 4 pistons at once, but with the rotor, using one side of the tool, 2 opposing pistons at a time is fine. Also ended up cleaning up all the crud inside the wheel wells. Looks like new now. The calipers were super filthy and took like an hour to clean all 4. Didn't take a pic of course...

Also emptied out the catch can. 3000 km worth of oil.

Washed my car for the first time in probably like 3 months. Cleaning it up really makes you see all the little damage I also blacked out my headlight housings, but it turns out the lenses are actually pretty much ruined (and the chrome did a pretty good job hiding that) so even after sanding and polishing it's still kind of foggy.

Ah well, the car looks OK for 131k .... and if you stand back a little lol.

Getting to that 60k maintenance early: New Intake filters, cabin filter wheel rotation and an oil change. Plus and interior detail and conditioning.
Wind shield wipers broke on Friday, so I got some Bosch Icons... Huge quality improvement, but I miss the shaped covers of the OEMs design.

Next weekend: Trying to diagnose a loud rattle that happens only in gear at a stoplight. Louder with the windows up, maye the trans? cats shield? Cant find much info here and dealer says all is AOK.. its just so damn annoying to hear every time I stop
