Finally broke the G out of hibernation last week. Drove it once. Had to move it today to work on the winter beater, found a black drip spot where the rear diff is in the garage. So, looks like I'll be doing that bushing.
I've never really felt the need to upgrade the sway bars. But, since I have to remove the exhaust to drop the diff anyway. I'll probably do them. Thinking Z1, same size as Hotchkiss, just with one less adjustment hole.

RWD or AWD?

Personally I would do the "super glue fix" and get a diff brace before I did that bushing.

On the sedan the trunk comes down a lot limiting your access.

Yes they were OEM originals with high mileage. The more I try to think about it. I think I saw a real 2-3mpg increase maybe even 4. The old set was surely on it's way out.

Went to the Nashville Nissan cars and coffee meet on Saturday. I took just a few pictures. If you look closely you can see a black G sedan. Also check out the R34 GTR M-Spec Nur....... Holy Grail type car.

Upgraded sways on this car is something you will appreciate every time you turn the steering wheel while driving. Granted, like everything else it will become the new normal real quick.

Glad you see you're still enjoying the car, SomeName. Been a while since we connected.

Yeah, I put whiteline sway bars in my 99 Camry. The difference on the highway is amazing. Almost as good as the G. Actually I did lower Ctrl arms, ball joints, and struts all around. No rust but it was sitting for a lonnnng time.
Still loving the G. Let my 16 yo son try it. Oh damn, that's perfect, I can blame him for the diff bushing. It's really too much car to learn stick imo.

RWD. That's interesting, I hadn't seen that about the trunk getting in the way. I must replace the bushing. How hard can it be? It's never seen salt, only 47k, and I'm a master half-a** mechanic.

Timeless color. I am so jealous that you have so many hardcore Nissan enthusiasts in the SE.

I've been stained mentally. This is what I envision happening to me car if I ever decide to sell it.

I think the multiple factories and headquarters have been contributing factors. Nissan has been part of life in TN for decades. My first truck 1997 D21 Hardbody was made 30 minutes from my house. The 2005 Altima I had before the G was made in the same factory as the truck. It's has found it's way into the culture here which has established such a strong community.

Had a random and lucky opportunity to join a pal on a trip to Japan. Came across this Nissan press event and the folks were very friendly. So hopped in a few of these cars and took some pics

I believe the current top-spec of our successor: 400R in black opal (tan interior looked great)

First time seeing the new Z in-person and up close

Nismo GTR was wild to see as well

Bonus pic of the overlooking Tokyo Tower (as seen reflecting off the Q’s hood)

The Q did look sharp, inside and out. If they offered it with a 6mt, it’d be a top contender for my next car. But instead, I embrace reality that the MT is an endangered species. So the G’s staying in the stable

That said, also just closed a deal back home for another 6mt car which gets delivered next week
