Post up a pic of that LS3!
Thank you Adrian! That 6.2 LS3 is so intoxicating, the pops it makes on stock exhaust is just amazing

I mean I liked the color but meh this was pretty close to me a pretty damn good deal already with some goodies on it honestly that color is really more of copper/orange(especially in the sun) rather than red but indeed when it's dull and cloudy it looks sort of red, I don't have any pictures of the LS3 yet lol. I already ordered a few things today and got my windows tinted with 20% ceramic tint.

Not touching my tire pressure until March at the earliest, dashlight notwithstanding

These TPMS clearly not designed for this MidAtlantic up-and-down weather

I didn't realize that was one you have...yours certainly looks a lot better than the promo pic.

Bear - I've seen the93's spoiler in person and it's on point.

oh man, cant wait to install mine.... my cutouts are actually uniform, should be interesting when in place. Probably leaving the whole thing CF, goes fine with a black car.

I wish you luck.....but that may cause rasp so be prepared....obviously this doesnt compare in price...however Motordyne does make long tube headers which would pair much better with your E370, Art pipes would have to be ditched tho

Jon Parham, tuner at Z1, has mentioned that he has seen the DC's make more power on his dyno than Stillen and longtube headers. I take his word for it because they don't even sell the headers in their store. No point in trying to push the product on me.

I mentioned Jon trying to push a product on me he does not sell, not you. I probably won't feel the additional horsepower from the DC's, but I am getting them for next to nothing.

Sounds like you're off to a nice start with the new car, Mike!

FYI... I'm currently working on an LS3 engine swap for my Porsche. It will be another year or so before it's done, but I can't wait!

Hey Mike, how would you compare the OEM magnetic-ride suspension on that heavier sedan, against where you last left off on suspension mods for your G? I don't remember where that was... CO's? Lowering-springs and OEM shocks? Swaybars? etc.

Maybe it's not a fair comparison. Let me put it another way: are you liking the handling of your new SS better than your old G, and why or why not?

I actually like the Magnetic ride a lot! Because around town over not so smooth roads the ride is smoother whereas when I want it to handle better I change it to sport or performance setting and the car feels much more planted and the steering is tighter. Where I left off on my G sedan ? It was with KW V3 coilovers, Hotchkis front and rear swaybars with rear whiteline adjustable endlinks, and SPC front and rear camber arms. Honestly I like this better because of the adjustability, I can change the mode on the go and it quickly changes behavior of the car, and doesn't even feel like it's 300lbs heavier, it's got plenty more of HP and TQ to make up for more than the additional weight IMO, but to fully test it out how it handles I'll have to wait a bit till when it gets much warmer and I get proper set of good summer tires most likely with some wheels.

Man...

Car was paid off last month, and now all I can do is look up CPO B8.5 S4s

Still really like the G, but can't help thinking about the dwindling supply of gently used 6MT S4s and how the new one discontinued the MT.

Wish I can say the poor financial decision is what's holding me back, but it's really because I need to live in/near the city for at least 2.5 more years, and at my current mileage rate (~4k mi/yr), I just can't justify it. I also plan to go to a track event this spring, which I think will have a positive effect.

I think as G owners, nearly all of us have gone through the process of entertaining the BMW 3 and Audi S, among others, to be ultimately drawn by how well balanced the G was (is) as far as price, specs, features, reliability, looks, etc.

I think what I need to do is finally commit to some noticeable mods that will in some ways reinvent the G for me. I know which ones they are, but being on the fence (and not modifying cars much in the past) has put it on the back burner.

1st world problems, I know.

Says it all. My G is right in the sweet spot for me. I love it...yet at the Auto Show last weekend I sinned in my heart for the new S4...though it was not 6MT as you've pointed out.

Me too! Well, the paid-off part, not the Audi. Don't want an Audi. I want something British, with two seats.

Nothing makes me smile here on the forum like reading freakishly similar, like-minded automotive values.

Enjoy your 1st world problems, STownSaint. Fortunes can turn on a dime for anyone.
