I stopped at the grocery store on the way home today for a few things, and when I came out, something caught my eye. I had parked away from any cars, and my front wheels were turned towards the drivers side, which I was approaching from the front, at a slight angle.

There was something yellow poking out, clearly visible from between the tire and fender lip. And something red, hidden lower....it was like vehicular hooters

And then as I got closer, those lovely 4 piston calipers....

And I did, exiting the parking lot, redline in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd My well worn rear tires generate some pretty good wheel spin going into 3rd

The thing that's giving me a SMH moment is... you redline gear shifts? Our 6MT shifts so much more effectively well under redline.

When manually shifting with my 7AT I have noticed that the shifts are almost seamless after 5K or so. I still wish I would have traveled to find a 6MT though.

Absolutely. Don't you?

Peak power is at 7100 RPM, redline is 7500

I generally don't redline my car when I have the wife and kids in it, but by myself, I have no problem effectively shifting the 6MT. Maybe you're just getting old

Nope. Seems to prefer a 6500 rpm transition in the lower gears.

Yeah. Tell me about it.

Maybe when I get a STS I'll be able to row those gears a little faster.

I drive down my residential street in first at about that rpm

By the time you get through the lower gears you've surpassed I think every speed limit in the country. Second is good for a bit past 60

I'm going to start dropping hints for Christmas. My wife loves getting me car stuff for gifts. Fill in a shift **** and I'll be ready to redo the whole shifter by February or so. It can be my spring project....

Tried some options based on feedback, still kinda prefer 1st option so I might stick to it for a week to see if it grows on me

I'm liking the G37S logo! That looks better than just the venerable S. Pretty creative Saint

I like it out of all the options you have shown there. Is it me or does the lettering seems just a tad crooked? It could just be the angle and my eyes after too much whiskey.

Is say if you have to put anything on the grill there, do the G37S. Just the S itself makes me thing off the corolla "S"...

Think I'm liking the G37S and the placement looks to be a pretty good spot for it
