It was. The company changed hands, and this model is designed from the ground up by engineers that normally work on cars that start at 200k lol.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio:

Ferrari has clearly stated apparently that they do not have anything to do with this engine, it was Alfa all on their own... I love the looks of the Quadrifoglio inside and out and that amazing interior but they screwed up big time first offering it in 6MT and then saying it won't come with row-your-own gearbox to US ... at that point I lost my interest in it. Sweet car otherwise

Yep, Ferrari did make that statement, but evry engineer that has looked at the engine has said that its the California engine with two cylinders cut off lol. Of course thats not 'proof', but the car even sounds like a toned down Cali.

Fine with me lol car does sound gorgeous and is amazing but the lack of 6MT after they advertised it just kills it for me as well as the price bracket it'll be in

If you mean Ferrari, aren't they also notoriously unreliable and expensive to maintain?

That's dumb, if one can afford a Quadrifoglio they should be able to afford a new foot!

Presumably if you lose the foot the car is totaled. You could then just buy an automatic with the insurance money; in which case you don't need that foot anyway.

On another note, the wheels on the Alfa look fairly similar to the ones on the 370z Nismo.

^They really do. I randomly passed a truck full of them on I-70 today on the way home and was thinking that.

Anyone whose running this ground kit (or something similar) believe what it claims it does? If you have a 7AT like me, I'll do anything to get faster, more reactive shifts.

I made my own, when playing audio through USB it seems a tiny bit more crisp, could be placebo. I noticed when playing audio via bluetooth, with the throttle bodies grounded, there is no more sound skipping that sometimes happened during hard acceleration. The thing that stillen doesn't give you in their kit is a wire for your throttle bodies. I can definitely say that throttle response 'feels' a bit better with those wires. As far as shifting goes, the TCM software update did more than the grounding kit, and it was very minor. Its hard to say if it helps at all. Looks nice though lol. I removed my kit, and only kept the throttle body cables, only grounding cables that felt like they made a difference, ironically, the only grounding cables not included in stillens kit.

Thanks guys, just got freaked out because my car battery died on me today due to it leaking and the electrical system was doing weird things to me. Got a Optima Deep Cell and Cold Crank capable battery that cost me an arm and a leg from Advanced Auto.

The older, original batteries in our G's are not no maintenance batteries, they actually require maintenance, something a lot of people dont realize.

Most dealerships now offer a very nice no maintenance replacement for around $100 that works very well.
