Q50 Eau Rouge
Makes me think about playing the lottery now once in a while
2014 Geneva Motor Show: Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge to be a performance flagship - NY Daily News
Nice work Infiniti. Another car out of my reach. God, I should have been born into wealth. I'll pick one up used 10 years from now. LOL
Great car though, truely going to be a force to be reconed with.

Good luck with that. You don't seen any FX50 SV editions for sale do you? I have a feeling that because GTR sales are low (due to the steady price climb), they're using the Q50ER to offset engine supply. If that's the case, this thing is going to be +70k, probably verging on $100k and will be in quite a limited supply (~200-300 per year; based on Nissan making ~1500 engines a year).

Expect pricing to be in-line with the M5 sedan and performance will be similar. "0-60 in under 4 seconds" translation: 0-60 in 3.9 and no double clutch transmission. It will be extremely heavy too... This is a far shot from GTR performance.
Kudos to Infiniti on the major improvement. At least they brought some boxing gloves this time.

My vote is for the SpeedShift MCT.

hope the 2.0L turbo makes it to the states.
anyway I thought nissan was going with a hybrid for the next GTR. so why would they use the VR38 in the eau rouge

MCT isn't very good in dual clutch terms. I say get the ZF 8 speed and call it a day (I know thats not gonna happen but just saying).
I said it before and I'll say it again, I'm just not sure who the car is targeted to, unless it comes in high $60k low 70k. I'm not trading my M3/RS5/AMG for this at a higher cost. Lexus RC-f/ATS-V currently sell at lower prices and are considered a tier below the Germans and they're at least into their second generations of these types of cars, they've had an opportunity to build a bit of a following. And I'm no brand snob its just that this car steps too deeply into the unknown.
FYI, I know you can option a 335i into the mid 60k's when the M4 start high 60k's but they're still a tier above infiniti

Jesus that was good.^^^ videos please! Not in a tunnel or parking garage either. I think if it's priced to high it will not sell. IMO Infiniti doesn't carry the "brand name weight" YET to compete on the level of the Krouts. They are on the right path though!
My guess is extremely limited production numbers and ordered by fanboys. If the price tag reached six figures, it's not going to sell well for Infiniti.
If it's based on the Q50, that's 3/4 series size, and I can't imagine Infiniti getting M5 money for something in the 3 series class. I would imagine Infiniti might think of using the higher HP as their selling point to try to capture share from the M3/M4, IS-F, etc.
If they really want to compete with the Germans, they'll need major drivetrain suspension improvements, serious weight reduction( BMW's new carbon technology is no joke) , DCT and help from Getrag on the transmission.
