Miles Per Gallon Feedback
Just took a road trip from Maryland to Orlando for the 4th of July. Put 1600+ miles on the car, all highway on I-95. Averaged 25.6 mph with the 7 A/T the entire way. I was pleasantly suprised with the highway mileage actually matching up with the car's EPA rating, I never got near the EPA rating on my other cars.
After averaging 15-16 mpg on the first 2 tanks of gas, I started getting in the low 20s, and now, at 2900 miles, I averaged 25.6 on this road trip so I am a happy camper. Not bad at all for a 330 hp premium gas drinking coupe!

When I drive SOLELY HIGHWAY I am getting about 25/26 MPG. SOLELY CITY is about 19.5 (+/- 1MPG depending on how aggressive I like to be) and when it's a mix then it's somewhere in between
from a physics point of view, how much gas you use at a certain speed is defined by this equation:
mv(^2)
-------- = amount of gas
2
where m= mass, v= velocity
so if you double your speed say from 30mph to 60mph, you are quadrupling your gas usage because the velocity is squared. (this does not account for air resistance.)

We took a trip recently from Chattanooga to Atlanta and filled up right before leaving. Average MPG upon return was 28 MPG. However, by the time the tank ran empty a few days later after being back in town (450 miles), it was showing 26.9 MPG. Not too bad.
I just broke 2000 miles and I've been averaging 20.6 mpg (50% city driving). During the first tank I was averaging just under 18 mpg and then just under 20 mpg on the second tank (and that was when I was babying it)! I'm glad that the mpg has slightly improved after the first 1000 miles because I've certainly stopped babying it once she was broken in!
