According to Fuelly (set display to metric), the median for sedans is ~8.5 KM/L based on (as of right now) 3,475 fill-ups involving 104 vehicles driven over 1.5 million kilometers.
oh ya!!!...you guys are very lucky...it costs me ...1.40$ per liter... times that by 75lt tank..105$,,fill...bull**** gas company's ...oils down...but gas goes up....crooks!!!
Here's my mpg over the last 86 fillups (3 1/2 years 18K miles). Combined average ~23.5 mpg. Anything over 25 had extended highway driving. Not too bad IMO.
Wow transmission update affected your mpg?? Like 1-2mpg?
I think i was getting 18.9 or so before the update. But, it's kind of hard to judge since highway and city driving have an affect on MPG. Maybe, i was on the freeway more before the update or maybe not! My wife drives the car also and she thinks mpg's are worse now too.
Wow I didn't know it affects mpg. I will be getting my next g37, probably 2013 so i guess I won't be doing this update if it wasn't done by previous owner.

Do you have g37x or RWD and did you check your air filters? I'm asking because I don't know anyone who would say that transmission update would worsen mpg.

2wd! I haven't checked the air filters since they were new 8000 miles ago. Before the update the car would be in too high of gear at low speeds. Maybe that's how it increased MPG.
